White House To Focus On Deficits- Don't bother, the damage is done!

Call this the laugh of the day from Politico:
President Barack Obama plans to announce in next year's State of the Union address that he wants to focus extensively on cutting the federal deficit in 2010 – and will downplay other new domestic spending beyond jobs programs, according to top aides involved in the planning.
The president's plan, which the officials said was under discussion before this month’s Democratic election setbacks, represents both a practical and a political calculation by this White House.
Is Obama so stupid as to think that a few tough words on cutting spending will erase the fact that he and the Democrats ran amok with a buck wild spending spree?  Sorry Charlie, that ain’t gonna fly with hardly anyone. Unless Obama can find a way to cut hundreds of billions, if not trillions, out of the deficit before 2010, much of the Democrats will be gonners.

We should also take this as a tip off that the Democrat DID receive the message on election night.

The pink slips will be delivered in 2010, 2012, 2014 and beyond. This is going to be a long, slow process to convince local, state and federal politicians that enough is enough. Thank you for this blog and also turning off the voiceover of Obama! I'm off to watch the Beck episode.

Watching the show and believing that there needs to be part 2, 3, 4. We need to hear more. So, that is the message I will send to Fox.

Watched it and will be requesting that the Beck show has all of you on again and again. It might be a good format to let everyone have a couple of minutes to speak. Again and again.

I think at this point unless Democrats can drop unemployment to deep in the single digits and take a major bite out of the deficit, their fate is sealed. Given the ideological dogma from Barry and Nancy, I have to say it ain't gonna happen.

Thanks it was a bit frustrating trying to get your word in. That last row is the kiss of death.
