ACORN bullies banks again.

File this under “some folks never learn”. ACORN (aka Community Organizations International) is going after lenders to force them to take advantage of Obama’s Making Home Affordable foreclosure-avoidance program. This is the same tactic Obama and ACORN used back in the day, to get lenders to relax their lending rules for the sake of "affordable housing" and thus planting the seeds of the subprime lending fiasco.

Via American Spectator

ACORN, which played a starring role in creating the subprime mortgage crisis, plans to add insult to injury by harassing lenders across the nation with protests tomorrow in an effort to coerce them into supporting President Obama's Making Home Affordable foreclosure-avoidance program.

Austin King, director of ACORN Financial Justice, sent out a press release today advising of the demonstrations that are planned as part of its "Homewrecker 4" campaign. The four financial companies targeted are Goldman Sachs, HomEq Servicing, American Home Mortgage, and OneWest. Read the whole document

ACORN plans to hit Dallas, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, St. Louis, New York City, Wilmington (Del.), Columbus (Ohio), Houston, Little Rock, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Why is it that so many liberals refuse to abandon bad policy, no matter how wrong it has been proven, they refuse to give up on it. There are countless examples of socialism and communism failing miserably but liberals still strive for both like they are trying to reach Nirvana.

Also what is up with some of ACORN’s nomenclature? “Director of Financial Justice” and “Homewrecker 4”? Geez!

UPDATE: Ok Tim Pawlenty, It’s Show Time!

Today the Minnesota Supreme Court has ruled in Al Franken’s favor, but has stopped short from ordering Governor Tim Pawlenty to certify the election. Tim Pawlenty has stated in the past that he would certify Franken if ordered by the courts to do so. Well, the clock just started ticking for Governor Pawlenty's chances as a 2012 GOP candidate.

Right now it only appears that the RINO class of the GOP leadership is singing Pawlenty’s praises. The base of the party remains unimpressed. Should Pawlenty hold true to his words, he will gain much-needed street cred with the base, while earning PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome) level hatred from the left. However, if Pawlenty chooses to use today’s Minnesota Supreme court ruling as a go ahead to certify Franken, he will earn tons of media praise as a “sensible Republican”. In going this route, Pawlenty will certainly be kissing his 2012 presidential ambitions bye-bye, because the base is in no mood for “sensible Republicans” as defined by the media.

So light the lights and cue the orchestra, it’ show time for Tim Pawlenty! Can he choose wisely?

Pawlenty is off the hook, Coleman concedes and ushers in …

I wonder, will Franken thank ACORN in his acceptance speech?

Carol Browner, busted!

(h/t Hot Air)

Carol Browner, Obama’s Energy Czar seems to think it is unfair that we do not accept her only reading “vast portions” of the Cap and Trade bill rather than the entire thing. Too bad they did not have a copy of the bill to check and see exactly which portions she actually read. Something tells me Ms. Browner did get very far past the title page. God help us!

Videos: Did you see these?

Saracuda Strikes Back

ZING! Take that Senator Horse Face! I don’t know if you noticed it, but Governor Palin has made a very quiet, but much needed transformation. After months of taking BS from the left, she starting to fight back and very effectively I might add. First, with her interview with Hannity and her "I Told Ya So" moment, then turning the tables on Letterman with her interview with Matt Lauer and now giving John Kerry a better tweak then he gave her. Memo to GOP: Stop wasting your time pushing boring RINO losers, Palin is the real deal!
Mr. Filibuster!

Kudos to GOP Minority Leader John Boehner for using House rules to create a mini filibuster of the Cap and Tax bill! Unlike the Senate, filibusters are not used in the House, however leaders speeches are not timed, so Boehner used his privilege to read Weasel Waxman’s 3 am amendment for about 1 hour. Notice how Weasel Waxman tries to shut Boehner down. Sadly another important piece of legislation harmful to the American economy passes in the House WITHOUT BEING READ!

Bachmann chooses Liberty

This is one impressive woman. She follows the Constitution and understands that her role is to SERVE the people and not dictate to the people. When 2010 comes around the left is going to try to take her out. Don’t let it happen, give generously and volunteer to do virtual phone banks. Reps. like Bachmann are an extremely rare fine these days.

Rest In Peace

With the passing of both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett today, I feel like a little bit of my youth passed too. I can clearly remember ogling Charlie’s Angles and hanging the iconic Farrah poster on my bedroom wall as a young teen. Michael Jackson’s music was there throughout my entire childhood. From the early Jackson Five Motown hits, right up to Thriller on MTV, I cannot think of a point in my childhood where there wasn’t a Michael Jackson hit.

Godspeed to both, may they forever rest in peace.

The Sanford Affair: Another one bites the dust.

First a little house cleaning:
I am done with giving the benefit of the doubt, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, ….

Now with that out of the way, what the heck was Mark Sanford thinking? What is it about elected officials that make them think they can hide affairs while living in the public eye? Clinton, McGreevy, Sptizer, Edwards, Vitter, Ensign and so forth all live their lives publicly, their every move is accounted for, so it would seem like a certainty they will get caught.

As the details of Sanford’s actions emerge, he comes off to me as one big fat cretin! He lied all over the place, cheated on his wife, abandoned his responsibilities as governor, traveled all the way to Argentina and unforgivably ditched his sons on Fathers Day. To add insult to injury, he offered up so much detail! All of his acts scream hubris!

Kudos to Jenny Sanford for staying away from the whole media circus! For the life of me I will never understand how and why the wives stand there with their cheating spouses. It seems Mrs. Sanford is breaking this trend, she kicked her husband to the curb two weeks before the story broke. However, she does say she is committed to reconciliation. She may change her mind when all the sordid details i.e. the emails, drip out over the next week or two.

Sanford’s affair could not come at a worse time. Just as the public is starting to focus in on the disastrous policies of Obama and the Democrats, here comes this story to steal its attention away. Lord knows the press will be all to happy to provide “breaking news” of the affair to distract attention from Cap and Trade legislation coming up this Friday.

Obama and the Democrats are not the only winners in all of this. Sanford’s South Carolina Republican and Democrat foes are the big winners. On the national scene, some 2012 Republican hopefuls benefit too.

Haley Barbour gets a new platform to promote himself for 2012. Sarah Palin will get a larger share of the social conservatives and Mitt Romney benefits by having one less big name to compete with.

On the loosing side of the equation, there is the entire GOP. As Obama and the Democrats go buck wild, Republicans need to stand in stark contrast as principled and sane people. Two back-to-back affairs (Ensign and now Sanford) within the Republican Party sets up the GOP as being no better than the Democrats.

Newt Gingrich’s 2012 aspirations takes another major hit. His past affair now becomes a big issue in the minds of any GOP primary voter.

What is the silver lining in the fall out of Sanford’s affair? This story has rained all over ABC News’ Obamacare infomercial!

The Nixon White House Tapes (January 1973)

For those of you who love history like I do, here are the links to the Nixon tapes that were released by the the Nixon Presidential Library yesterday. There are links to actual audio, PDF files of actual memos and PDF files of some actual handwritten documents.

UPDATED: Mark Sanford's missing days, here is my guess

The story surrounding South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford continues to build steam, with a new wrinkle added today. Supposedly the SUV he took was found at an airport in Atlanta and an eyewitness says he boarded a plane (destination unknown).

From what I read from various comments about the web, it seems everyone’s first guess is that Sanford is having a secret assignation (i.e. booty call). After giving this a little thought, I say this idea does not jive.

First of all, judging from the statements of Sanford’s staff, I would say they know where he is and are covering for him. If Sanford was having an affair, telling the staff is the last thing you would want to do (loose lips sink ships). Next is Mrs. Sanford’s lack of concern. If her husband was having an affair and she knew about it, I severely doubt she would be so cool about it. Especially since his absence takes place over Father’s Day weekend.

My guess, Sanford went away to have a medical procedure, and probably a rather personal one. It would account for his being away during Father’s Day weekend. It would also account for both his wife and his staff knowing, but refusing to say. Plus a short hospital stay would account for Stanford turning off his cell phones for several days. A personal medical reason also makes sense why Sanford would have flown out of state to have it done and left his security detail behind.

If it is a medical procedure, I suspect it is non-life threatening operation, but one that is extremely personal in nature. If you were a public figure, would you want a very personal medical procedure splashed across the front pages?

Time will tell what the real reason is, but for now, I am putting my bet on Sanford going away to have a minor operation, that he would rather not have the whole world know about.
Update: Argentina???
I totally missed that one, I would have thought he had a much more responsible explanation than that. Well this story just grew legs for a few more days.

Karma catches up to Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton, the instigator of the Carrie Prejean hatefest, got his payback early Monday morning. Supposedly Hilton was talking some smack on his blog about the band the Black Eyed Peas. Band leader will. i. am (creator of that Yes We Can video for Obama) confronted Perez and told him to stop writing about the band on his blog. As expected, Perez who loves the drama, told will. i. am:

"He was like 'You need to respect me.' He was in my face. He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me," Hilton said. "I was like 'I don't need to respect you. I don't respect you and I did say this, and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was. I said 'You know what, I don't respect you and you're gay and stop being such a faggot.'" Breitbart

What was the result of this bold statement by Perez? The Black Eyed Peas tour manager, Polo Molino decked Perez in the eye!

Below is Perez’s profanity and IRONY laced tirade of the whole sorted affair. Clearly Perez misses the irony of his hateful words coming back to bite him in the ass. As you watch the video, think about how ironic Perez's words are in context to the way Carrie Prejean has be treated because of him.

Here are a few lessons I hope Perez Hilton learns from his beat down.

While the First Amendment guarantees that you can say almost anything you want, it does not guarantee a receptive audience!

All of our Constitutional rights require responsibility. When we act irresponsible with our rights, we invite others to do the same. In this case, if you are going to be irresponsible with the things you say, don’t be surprise if you get an irresponsible reaction.

Karma, unlike Carrie Prejean, is a real bitch!

Final note: At the end of Perez’s screed, he gratuitously calls Fergie a fugly bitch! This is Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.

Here is my question, if Perez thinks Fergie is a fugly bitch, WTF was he doing judging a beauty contest for in the first place?

Mark Sanford: Lost and Found

Truth be told, I don’t know what to make of this story. Is this just a nothing story that got hyped by a bias media trying to make Governor Sanford look irresponsible? Or is this one of those stories you file away in the back of your head and then say “now I get it” after some scandal breaks. I honestly don’t know for sure.

I do know that whenever we hear about stories of elected officials going missing, it usually is a prelude to some bad news. However in this case, Sanford appears to have a less than friendly Lt. Governor who is looking for Sanford’s job next year and who has clashed with Sanford over the stimulus money. Then again, the whole “hiking alone” thing over Father’s Day weekend is just plain strange and Mrs. Sanford’s statement and lack of concern adds to the strangeness of it all.

Read the two stories below and let me know what you think. Is this a much to do about nothing or a prelude to a somethin’, somethin’?

UPDATED: ACORN changes their name

From the Washington Examiner:

ACORN executives have also changed their organization’s name, which was tarnished by investigations in at least 14 states of allegations of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign, and charges by current and former members of financial mismanagement and misrepresentation. ...

... In fact, the process has already begun, she noted. Wade Rathke, who founded the organization, announced on his blog that ACORN International has officially changed its name to “Community Organizations International.”

Glenn Beck totally called this last week on his show. Beck said that when the heat got too much for ACORN, they would simply change their name in an attempt to distance themselves from the current scandals.

Makes no difference what they call themselves, too many people on the right are keeping a close eye on them and are beyond curious about all ACORN’s various relationships. How much you want to bet Michele Bachmann is already on to them?
What did I tell you! From Michele Bachmann's blog at Townhall.com:
Click the title above to read her entire post.

Recently, ACORN International, which works in 12 countries across the world, has switched their name to "Community Organizations International." Apparently, being investigated in 14 states for voter registration fraud and facing repeated accusations by ACORN board members of financial mismanagement will inevitably take its toll on an organization’s image. It will be interesting to see if ACORN as a whole takes on a new name as well....

It is great to know that there is at least one person in Washington who is on top of this shady organization 24/7. Go Bachmann!

I will take 40 acres in the Hamptons and a BMW 650i convertible!

The Senate unanimously passed a resolution yesterday apologizing for slavery, making way for a joint congressional resolution and the latest attempt by the federal government to take responsibility for 2 1/2 centuries of slavery.

"You wonder why we didn't do it 100 years ago,"
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), lead sponsor of the resolution, said after the unanimous-consent vote. "It is important to have a collective response to a collective injustice."

Actually Mr. Harkin, why didn’t you do that 150 years ago when it might have had some meaning? Apologizing for slavery today is beyond meaningless. Basically, you have a bunch of people today who have had absolutely no direct involvement with slavery, apologizing to black people today who never suffered one second of slavery.

The only purpose this apology serves is to once again stir the racial pot by opening the door to reparation discussions. However, just in case there is still enough white guilt kicking around (even after the election of the first black president) to make good on that 40 acres and a mule deal, then I want in! Of course, I demand to be properly compensated for inflation! Therefore, I want my 40 acres out on the Hamptons and you can keep the fleabag, I will take a BMW 650i convertible instead! Vroom!

The Olive Garden & Hellmann's Dumping Pervert Dave!

It appears that efforts to get pervert David Letterman fired by going after his sponsors is starting to bare fruit. The Olive Garden and Hellmann’s are responding to people who wrote in. here are the emails being sent out.

(h/t Hot Air)

Olive Garden:

Dear [customer]:

Thank you for expressing your concerns about Olive Garden and allowing us an opportunity to respond.

We understand your concern about Mr. Letterman’s inappropriate comments. Olive Garden screens network television programs whenever possible. Telecasts, such as The Late Show with David Letterman, are taped on a daily basis, preventing advertisers from reviewing the content prior to airing. We apologize that Mr. Letterman’s mistake, which was not consistent with our standards and values, left you with a bad impression of Olive Garden. There will be no more Olive Garden ads scheduled for The Late Show with David Letterman in this year’s broadcast schedule.

We have not yet finalized next year’s advertising plan but will consider our valued guests’ opinions when doing so.

Again, thank you for contacting us with your comments, and we hope you will continue to think of Olive Garden as a place to visit with your family and friends.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your disappointment with the program content which contained a commercial for a Unilever product. We never wish to offend anyone and your opinions are appreciated regarding this subject matter. Advertising for Hellmann’s or media buys are done months in advance and unfortunately we can’t foresee issues in the media before they come up. We appreciate the feedback from our consumers and we’ve decided to pull our online ads from the Letterman show from our advertising schedule moving forward.

We hope that this information has given you a better understanding of our advertising practices. Thank you again for taking the time to share your views with us. You can be assured that your comments will be considered as we continue to challenge our perceptions about what is appropriate for us in today’s environment.

Kind regards,
Your friends at Hellmann’s/Best Foods

I know many people believe that since Governor Palin accepted the pervert’s limp apology, the Fire David Letterman movement should end. I disagree. Cynthia Yockey from A Conservative Lesbian and Sebastian Gray from Hillbuzz offer very good arguments why we should keep trying to get Letterman fired. I would like to offer another opinion as well.

One reason why people on the left take below the belt shots at conservatives is because doing so cost very little. Up until now, conservatives react to the left’s outrageous attacks by tuning out, maybe calling the FCC or sending ONE letter of outrage and then going on about their business.

This behavior has led to the left getting bolder and bolder. The culmination being the savaging of Governor Palin that continues to this day. Now think about this, with the MSM has completely come out of the liberal closet, the onslaught delivered against Governor Palin will become standard operating procedure and will be used against whomever runs against Obama in 2012.

Unless we want conservative candidates to go down in flames before they even get out of the gate, we must set a precedent. That precedent must say; “when you cross the line, we are going to hand you your ass on a plate”! Mind you, this won’t stop all the derange jackals, but it will have a chilling effect on the lesser jackals.

So for those of you that are now convinced, fire up that Microsoft Word and lets give Kellogg’s, Mars Candy and Johnson & Johnson a piece of our minds. To make your life easier, Cynthia Yockey is putting together an amazing Fire David Letterman Kit, complete with mail merge instruction!

Happy July 4th Hawaii, Love Kim Jong Il

North Korea may launch a long-range ballistic missile towards Hawaii on American Independence Day, according to Japanese intelligence officials.

The missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles, would be launched in early July from the Dongchang-ni site on the north-western coast of the secretive country.

Intelligence analysts do not believe the device would be capable of hitting Hawaii's main islands, which are 4,500 miles from North Korea.

Details of the launch came from the Japan's best-selling newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun.

Both Japanese intelligence and U.S. reconnaissance satellites have collated information pointing to the launch, according to the report.

Wow, Little Kim is cutting up something fierce! Perhaps he is just ticked off that Obama did not invite him to the Fourth of July celebrations being rolled out for Iran. It is said that Robert Gates has ordered missile interceptors to the region. I wonder if anyone at the White House is second-guessing the decision to nickel and dime on missile defense.

Maybe it is time for Obama to show North Korea his fly killing skills, that ought to get them to chill out.

Open Letters: Two Americans Speak Out

By now some of you have read the two letters making their way around the Internet. If not, here they are for your reading pleasure and reference. They are open letters from two Americans that speak truth to the power in Washington.

The first letter is by former Procter & Gamble executive Lou Pritchett entitled An Open Letter to President Obama (often known about the net as the “You Scare Me” letter. The second is by Democrat turned Republican, turned American Janet Contreras, who had her letter, read dramatically by Glenn Beck on his show.

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

Janet Contreras’ Letter read on Glenn Beck

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Michele Bachmann: ACORN + Census = N.O.Y.B.

Once again I am impressed by the way Michele Bachmann stands up against all the foolishness in Washington. While other Republicans simply lament the outright nefariousness of ACORN, Bachmann takes a stand. First she organized a petition against funding ACORN with tax dollars until they are thoroughly investigated and now she is refusing to play the ACORN census game.

In an interview Wednesday morning with The Washington Times "America's Morning News," Mrs. Bachmann, Minnesota Republican, said the questions have become "very intricate, very personal" and she also fears ACORN, the community organizing group that came under fire for its voter registration efforts last year, will be part of the Census Bureau's door-to-door information collection efforts.

"I know for my family the only question we will be answering is how many people are in our home," she said. "We won't be answering any information beyond that, because the Constitution doesn't require any information beyond that."

Quite frankly, I too am uncomfortable giving personal information to anyone connected with ACORN. Identity theft and ACORN are no strangers. On one hand, failing to answer census questions does carry a fine up to $5,000. However, the Constitution only requires a counting of the people by the government, it does not require you to answer any specific questions.
With all the obvious shenanigans getting ready to be played with the census, I too feel like not answering the whole thing. Why should I help out with whatever scam ACORN and this administration are up to?

Hello, Leader of the Free World, Iran Calling!

"It is not productive, given the history of US-Iranian relations to be seen as meddling - the US president, meddling in Iranian elections," - Obama

As Iranians risk life and limb for the tiniest bit of democracy, Barak Obama The LEADER of the FREE World, worries about meddling. Why does Obama have so much trouble with being a salesman for Democracy? Here is a man who roused (hoodwinked) this nation with soaring rhetoric of Hope and Change, yet has nothing but puny words like "meddling" for the Iranian people. What a let down.

Obama has this crazy notion that the Mullahs are dealing with clean deck. Obama thinks that by sitting on the sidelines, he will be preserving his chances for engagement. He thinks that through engagement, he can persuade Iran from seeking nukes. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Iranian elections were rigged from the get go. The Mullahs’ agenda is set…they want nukes! It makes no difference who actually wins that election, the Mullahs are still going for the nukes, that is their goal. However, the unrest growing in Iran, could actually change things. It has grown way beyond the results of that election and could actually topple the ruling clerics and thus offer a real possibility of engagement.

So come on Obama, drop the moral equivalence, fire up the teleprompter and give some soaring rhetoric of Hope and Change for people of Iran. Freedom loving people expect that from the Leader of the Free World.

Have you supported Palin yet?

Are Gays the new Blacks of the DNC?

It seems like almost every time I peek in on the left side of the blogosphere, I see another rant from a gay activist about how Obama and the Democrats have thrown them under the bus. I read how gays who supported Obama’s agenda are betrayed when none of their campaign promises flesh out. They are feeling used.

This is so reminiscent of how Democrats have treated blacks for decades. Every election Democrats flock to the black community with promises to fix education, create jobs and rebuild communities, all the while pointing out supposed racist boogiemen hiding in the GOP. After the election, these Democrats recede back to their liberal ivory towers to go about their true liberal agenda until the next election. Meanwhile nothing changes for the black community.

It appears that this style of farming votes is now happening to the gay community. Obama seemed supportive and sensitive to the gay community as a candidate, but as president has repeatedly thrown the gay community under the bus from day one.

Fresh with wounds from Prop 8 in California, the gay community was thrown under the bus on the first day of the Obama administration, with the invitation of Prop 8 supporter Rick Warren to give an invocation at Obama’s Inaugural. Then came the promise of ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, only to see it put on the back burner. Now Obama offers the tiny consolation prize of domestic partner benefits for Federal employees.

Unlike the black community, the gay community seems ready for open revolt. They are threatening to stop funding, and are starting to speak out loudly against the betrayal. I hope blacks that are still stuck on the Democrats will wake up and take a page from the gay community are speak out against the broken promises, especially on education.

If you believe in the good Governor from Alaska and hate the politics of personal destruction, please give! Send a message to the left that Palin doesn't stand alone.

We Are Family: ABC News goes State Run Media

On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Highlights on the agenda: ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House. The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
Wow, just when you thought the MSM was finished with coming out of the liberal closet, they pull a stunner like this one. America is so quickly becoming a Third World nation. We have a president who appoints a slew of czars that are accountable to no one, government take over of private sector businesses, a rubber stamping Congress, a nation up to its eyeballs in debt and now state run media. At this rate, by next year, we will all be in the streets singing vapid songs about how we "love" our dear leader on Obama Day!

2010 and 2012 cannot come fast enough for me.

UPDATED: Pervert Letterman apologizes again ... poorly

Pervert David Letterman tried again to “apologize” for his sexist statutory rape joke. Again he seems to think that putting an age limit on the joke somehow makes it better. Memo to Dave: RAPE IS NEVER FUNNY!

Truth be told, the only reason Letterman is making this lame second attempt is because, Palin took the high road and he is looking like a true partisan pervert. In other words, Dave is feeling the heat.

There is a protest going on today at the Late Show, courtesy of Firedavidletterman.com. Embassy Suites has pulled their advertising. Hardcore lefties from The View (Behar and Whoopie) are siding with Palin. NOW even got off its duff and put Dave in their Hall of Shame. Plus to my surprise, Bonnie Erbe, is siding with Palin!

Palin accept Pervert Dave’s limp apology.

"Of course it's accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve.

Letterman certainly has the right to 'joke' about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction. And this is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America's Right to Free Speech - in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect."

Governor Sarah Palin

The question now, is do we accept Letterman’s apology? I say, no! Here is why:

1. Letterman’s apology is only coming because he is feeling the heat and not because he is truly sorry. He still makes the lame argument that it is OK, to demean Bristol Palin.

2. Liberals would never ever settle for a lame second apology that came a week late after serious pressure was exerted. They would not be satisfied until some heads rolled. Imus was not fired just because he was a conservative, he was also fired because those asking for his head were known to be relentless in their outrage. Why should we settle for less? Taking the high road simply won’t solve things.

3. The downside of taking the high road, is that it sends the message that you can cross the line and when things getting heated, throw out an apology. It is already happening. Bill Maher showed his pervert side just last night.

4. Pressing on until Dave is gone or a serious shake up happens at CBS or the Late Show will send a chilling effect to people like Dave. Granted they probably will still cross the line sooner or later, but at least there will be precedent that crossing the line doesn’t come cheap.

America Rolls Conservative

New Gallop poll out today finds that more Americans call themselves conservative than anything else. Gallop finds that 40% of Americans consider themselves conservative, 35% call themselves moderate and only 21% call themselves liberal.

What is interesting is that after the election if you were to listen to the MSM and inside beltway pundits, you would have sworn America was now predominantly liberal. While self-identified liberals have crept up from 17% to 21% over the last 16 years, it is still quite clearly the minority.

A closer examination, finds that there are pretty large numbers of conservatives within both the moderate and liberal groups. Which brings us to the question, why are so many out there telling the GOP to go to the center? The data indicates that a candidate could run a on a true conservative message and win large segments of the electorate. Couple that conservative message with a bit of charisma and you begin to understand why the left is hell bent on destroying someone like Sarah Palin.

In 2008, Obama won because there was no true conservative at the top of the ticket. John McCain’s mixed and muddled conservative message was not enough to persuade large enough segments from moderate and conservative Democrats. They were easily taken in by Obama’s faux conservatism (read: pragmatism). Such a ploy would never have worked against a principled conservative like Reagan or Palin.

Grassroots Webathon To Retire Governor Palin's Legal Debt

(h/t Conservatives4Palin)

When Governor Palin went back home to Alaska, she brought with her the vengefulness of the angry left. Not content with their victory, they set out to destroy her, to make sure such a resourceful and accomplished woman would never challenge their empty Hope and Change rhetoric again. They set about hitting Palin with one frivolous lawsuit after another in hopes of bankrupting her personally.

Palin has proven victorious against all 14 bogus ethics complains, but not without a price. Currently, Palin’s legal bills stand at $500,000. If you believe in true conservatives like Palin and want to strike a blow against the politics of personal destruction, please clink follow the instructions below and click on the image.

Freedom Denied

“You’re seeing people looking at new possibilities,” Obama said in response to a question at the White House today. “Whoever ends up winning the election in Iran, the fact that there’s been a robust debate hopefully will help advance our ability to engage them in new ways.’ -Obama June 12, 2009

Whoever ends up winning? You must be joking, am I the only person who thought that the only possible outcome would have been an Ahmadinejad victory? Free and fair elections in Iran under Ahmadinejad and the ruling clerics, methinks not!

As protesters take to the street and rooftops, I cannot help but wonder where all this will go? Will the protest force freedom to ring or will their voices be denied as we have seen in so many places? Hopefully, the world will come to support the Iranian protesters. It is in everyone’s best interest that they prevail or at least get a true and strong voice in the Iranian government.

Rewarding Evil

One of liberal’s favorite talking points against the war in Iraq, was that Bush was making more terrorist. Well, with Obama sending Uyghurs off to Bermuda (all expenses paid mind you) isn’t he going to create more terrorists by rewarding evil?

Think about this, all one has to do is join Jihad, go to a training camp and then go through the motions of terrorism and get picked up by the US. Since you did not kill anyone or really fight a soldier you can make an argument that you are innocent and get a free ticket to a sunny paradise. Gone are the days of starvation and sand storms and hello beautiful beaches and sunshine!

It just strikes me as odd, that Obama who ran a campaign so keen on imagery, could not see what a bad image moving Gitmo prisoners to an island paradise would be. Does he not think that many in slums of the Middle East will see this as an avenue to a better life?

While some will argue that the Uyghurs never took up arms against America, we cannot forget that they trained for Jihad. They were willing to learn how to commit evil, so why reward their misdeeds?

Something Wicked This Way Comes

As the talking heads on the left and the right try to pin the murderous actions of Scott Roeder, Abdul Hakim Muhammad and James Von Brunn on the opposing side, they miss discussing the important issue of what is happening to the culture of America.

I think that these three murderers show a sign of danger running through our society today. They show how too many today are willing to use murder as a means of solving personal problems. While it can be said that each man had a political motive behind their killings, the bigger point is that they chose murder as a solution.

I think we should look at these three not as the end result of hyper political rhetoric from the extremes of both parties, but rather as something running through our society today that says, murder is a viable solution for improving your life.

Look at many of the high profile cases today. We find unhappy souls who chose murder as a way of improving their lives. Casey Anthony, seems to have killed her child in order to gain more freedom. Drew Peterson killed seems to have killed his wives to avoid the troubles of divorce. Many of the school shootings were carried out by children unhappy with their status at school. I find Roeder, Muhammad and Von Brunn no different.

Roeder seems to have used murder as a way to fight back against something he saw as an affront to his way of life, abortion. Muhammad used murder because western culture impeded on his Islamic life. Von Brunn felt very disenfranchised and felt murder was a way of being heard.
Rather than just playing the blame game, we should take a closer look at what has changed in our society that has made murder a viable option.

David Letterman, pervert!: My Letter to Kellogg's

A.D. David Mackay
President and CEO Kellogg’s
Kellogg’s Company
One Kellogg’s Square
PO box 3599
Battle Creak, MI 49016-3599

June 13, 2009

Dear Mr. Mackay;

No doubt you have heard about the offensive joke told by David Letterman on his program The Late Show. His joke involving the statutory rape of Governor Palin’s 14-year-old daughter was sexist and offensive in the extreme. As a long time consumer of Kellogg’s brand products (Corn Flakes, Eggo’s, Pop Tarts and Cheez-It), I am appalled to find out that your company is still advertising on Letterman's show. In doing so, I must ask, does Kellogg’s support statutory rape of 14-year-olds?

Until this question is publicly answered or your advertising is pulled, I can no long in good conscience purchase or recommend your products. To do so, I feel I would be supporting the hateful and spiteful things Letterman said and as Governor Palin said, further erode the self-esteem of young women everywhere.

I hope you will join all civil minded Americans and take a stand against Letterman’s misogyny and stop advertising on his program. To do anything less would be a shame.

Clifton B.

Below are the top brass of Kellogg’s. I sent a copy of this letter to each of them and just substituted the names and titles. I urge each of you to do the same.

(1) James M. Jenness – Chairman of the Board
(2) A.D. David Mackay – President and CEO
(3) John A. Bryant – COO and CFO
(4) Mark R. Baynes – VP and CMO
(5) Brian S. Rice – SVP, CIO
(6) Gary H. Pilnick – SVP, General Counsel, Corporate Development and Secretary

David Letterman: This Pervert Has To Go!

Enough is enough! As you all know, David Letterman that slope headed buck tooth pervert has made several jokes about Governor Sarah Palin and her 14 year old daughter. He gave a sorry ass apology, which basically said, jokes about raping a 14 year old is bad, but raping an 18 year old is OK! Sorry Dave, but that just won't do.

We on the right have been malign by the left for far too long. Letterman's perverted jokes are the lasted in a string of misogynistic attacks against conservative women. Recently there was the attacks against Carrie Prejean for simply speaking her mind, Playboy's rape list against conservative women and a week long screed against Palin on every news station. When do we say enough?

I say, we say it now! Over at Conservatives4Palin, Hillbuzz, The New Agenda and TeamSarah they are all taking action. They are calling Letterman's sponsors to ask if they support jokes about raping a 14 year old!

Complaining to the Late Show, CBS or FCC is all well and good, but in these hard economic times, no company can afford to have their goods and services tarnished by being associated with statutory rape or misogyny. Contact sponsors like Kellogg's and ask them, does Kellogg's support statutory rape of 14 year olds? Keep asking them everyday until they stop supporting perverts like David Letterman. Trust me folks this stuff works.

Where do you start? Click on over to Hillbuzz, they have a list of Letterman's top sponsors, complete with contact info to the CEO, CFO, COO and other top brass. They give guidelines on how to craft and send yours letters to these companies. Once your letter is finished mail it and then POST IT ON YOUR BLOG! In the title ask; Does The Olive Garden support raping 14 year olds? If enough of us bloggers post our letters, then these products will show up on search engines with our questions to them.

I am crafting my letter today and will post it here for all to see. For those of you who are one the fence, ask yourself this: Do you want your daughter, niece, granddaughter, sister , wife or mother to live in a world where they are pilloried, insulted or demean because they do not conform to someone else's views, and therefore are not worthy of respect?

This behavior has to end somewhere, so we might as well start with David Letterman...The Pervert!
