UPDATED: School kids taught to praise Obama

I found this YouTube video from a link on the Drudge Report. Indoctrination anyone?

This incident took place in a South Jersey school.

Just as I said, it wasn’t the Obama speech to school kids you had to worry about, it was the over zealous leftwing teachers who posed the real threat. Who wants to bet that the Department of Education’s “lesson plan” for the speech had something to do with this?

UPDATE

(h/t Michelle Malkin & Smart Girl Politics) Here is a little more indoctrination for you. This is a test given in a high school anatomy class. The test is pure pro Obama. Notice there is not a single question expressing the opposing point of view. Notice also how Obama's point of view is treated as fact! The 30,000,000 uninsured number is totally in dispute, but you would never know from this exam.

Don't let the left fool you, your children are being indoctrinated! Obama did not have to say anything Dear Leader-ish to the children, the teachers are the ones who would do the indoctrinating for him.

I am beginning to wonder more and more if the Department of Education had a telephone conference like the NEA did.

UPDATE II

Gateway Pundit has the lyrics to this insipid tune.

Michelle Malkin tells us the name and location of the school: B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, NJ:

Malkin also informs us that the creator of this Dear Leader tune is Charisse Carney-Nunes. She is the author of an Obama brainwashing book I Am Barack Obama (2009),”. Charisse Carney-Nunes apparently tours the country promoting this nonsense. Read more at Michelle Malkin.

  3. Next time my family hammers me about my ex wife home schooling our children, I'll just have them watch this video and then challange them to ask me again.

  4. When it was made illegal to pray in school, our schools still prayed.

    I homeschooled by youngest two.

I wonder what the story is on the child on the end...he didn't seem to be "feeling" it.

  5. That is stunning. Truly. There just are not words for this.

  6. Frightening. I home schooled our children in the states for very different reasons (thought the education was sounder)But this is another great reason to home school ones children.

As the old saying goes; if you want to do something right, do it yourself.

(And I agree. Kid on the end looks as if he isn't happy to be there.)

It is amazing that as much as people accuse Obama of being socialist and fascist, Obama and the left seem to do everything they can to make that image stick.

No problem with the reposting. Information like this need to be spread far and wide.

  16. I think, though, that he was intending to say something in that speech to schoolchildren, and I think that the speech was revised after we all spoke out against it and the accompanying materials sent out by the DOE.

The essay question that stood out to me was: "What can I do to help the president?" As a teacher, I know that you can't simply throw an assignment at students and expect them to understand what they are to do. You have to have class discussion, ask and answer questions, provide them with enough fodder for an essay. Therefore, when I read that question (or I may have seen it on Fox first), I was startled. The final speech he gave did not provide anything that a teacher could easily turn into a discussion to prep for an essay assignment about helping Obama. What was in that speech that the teachers could then discuss with their classes that would lead to an essay about what the students can do to help the president? He ended up giving a very conservative speech with conservative values (and one of the only speeches he's given that resonated for me). Any essay coming out of the final version of that speech would be about what students can do for themselves and their country, not one man.

I have no doubt that there is indoctrination going on, that these songs of praise to the president are dangerous. I'm just glad that there are people like you blogging about this stuff and getting the word out.

Great insight into that essay question. It is a good thing that there are some conservative teachers (speaking of which check out Motivation: Truth, she is a teacher as well).

Glad to get the message out, feel free to spread it on your blog.

  18. Ohhh, my word. That township is right next door to mine. Right in my backyard. I saw this on America's Right this morning and I was horrified. Then you tell me where it is and I am about to jump out of my skin.

Just showed my husband this exam. We knew it. We knew it. Thank you for being so informative. Just saw found your blog through Mary Baker. Will be back.

Hope you folks know that Mary will be on the Glenn Beck show tomorrow. Check out her blog for details.

  19. Parents need to be diligent about the content of the school's curriculum and activities. When my kids were in school I was known to ask not only for the curriculum but lesson plans. Don't know about all places, but in the area I lived they were required to let you see it if you ask. They didn't like it much, but parents have a right to know what their kids are being taught.

  20. Maxine:

Wow you are close to that. Time for you and your husband to start keeping a close eye on your children's studies and don't forget to ask that age old question: "so what did you learn in school today"?

Thanks for the tip about Mary, I will alert my readers. Welcome to ABC!

That is the best way to fight indoctrination, get involved. Sadly too many parents still trust the school system to have their children's best interests at heart.

  22. It really broke my heart to watch that clip.

See, this is 1 of the many reasons why I have been urging folks to take their kids out of the public school system. If parents can't afford a private school, then perhaps home schooling will have to suffice until this obama indoctrination has been removed from the curriculum.

  23. arlenearmy:

It isn't just that the children are being indoctrinated with Obama propaganda. They are being indoctrinated into the whole leftist ideal. That has been going on for decades.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Madmath1:

Whenever I see the children singing to Obama videos, I immediately think of Mao or Kim Jong Il.

Brainwashing the kids early insures that there will be more followers for the future.

  25. Thank you, Clifton, I'll head over there now.

I'm still confused about why the left have such difficulty understanding the comparisons being made to Hitler, et al. I mean, what else could this possibly evoke? *shakes head*

Don't be fooled. The left knows damn well that the similarities are there. They also know that more you move leftwards on the political spectrum you get to socialism, communism and then full dictatorships. That is why they scream and howl when you point out the similarities, they don't want others to know where they are taking us with their policies.

  27. This and "the story of stuff" videos being shown in our schools just makes me ill. I guess I've always felt that "they wouldn't do that without my permission" was a true statement. Apparently what I want my kids to learn is irrelevant.

I posted a link in my FMJRA that debunks The Story of Stuff, point by point. Copy it and spread it around. It is very useful for parents to have.
