This is how we end up with presidents who abandon principle. Instead, your job between now and Nov 2012 is to point out media bias to any and everyone you can. We cannot whittle our candidates down to those who pass media muster.

That being said, there are a few non starters we should discourage from running in 2012. Santorum, Pawlenty, Romney, Barber These guys are yesterday's news. They simply are not up to the tasks that will be before them in 2012. They are still playing the old game.

For me, the 2012 candidate must prove three things equally
1. Be a strong fiscal conservative.
2. Understand they are not dealing with Democrats from yesterday.
3. I know politicians never do this but maybe somebody should. I really liked Romney but his Romneycare issue is a killer for me. Who has the least flaws and whose flaws are the least offensive. It would be a good thing if it were someone that energized our base, but I think many on our side would support a decent enough candidate to save this country. Most importantly, IMO, it has to be someone that bonehead "moderates/independents" (boneheads because anyone who doesn't have an opinion or know where they stand are cowards) can support. What does the independent/moderate demographic support or better yet, what don't they hate? Then pick a candidate accordingly. Someone that will not turn them away and make it more likely to support a candidate against Obama.spchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12006172249759977864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872610766194613385.post-54844814060502599012010-04-11T14:41:49.096-04:002010-04-11T14:41:49.096-04:00I'm sorry, but I just don't like Romney. ...I'm sorry, but I just don't like Romney. I think that if he is chosen the Republican candidate, then we're going to end-up with four more years of Obama. I think he sold out his conservative principles to get himself elected Governor of Massachusettes, and then there's Romneycare to contend with in the campaign.trinitynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872610766194613385.post-33384698082750698412010-04-11T14:24:05.718-04:002010-04-11T14:24:05.718-04:00It is amazing that Paul didn't win, he offered...It is amazing that Paul didn't win, he offered reduced price tickets to the conference.

Also, who the heck is Gary Johnson?

Rick Santorum?
