VIDEO: Katie Couric caught mocking Palin on day Palin was announced as VP

If the revelations of Journolisters conspiring against Palin weren’t proof enough of the media’s biases, this video adds even more proof.

 

So before Katie Couric ever interviewed Palin, Couric was already in the "I Hate Palin" camp.  Again, we must sit and wonder at the bright lights in the McCain campaign who thought giving Couric an exclusive was a good idea. 

Conservatives4Palin points out just how the network media worked to undermine Palin. 

Conservatives4Palin: It’s not just what was said by Couric in her discussion of Governor Palin, but also the way CBS framed the narrative of Governor Palin’s life in their story. The script covers moose burgers, her kids, her being a former beauty queen and being on the cover of Vogue. Sarah Palin was a sitting governor, and at that time, before the Obama campaign and their allies in the press spent months relentlessly smearing her good name, she had the highest approval ratings of any governor in the country. She was also responsible for getting the largest energy project in North American history underway after several decades of interminable delays in Alaska. She was a courageous corruption-busting whistleblower who turned in the leader of her own party in Alaska for his corrupt practices. She was a fiscal conservative who made the largest veto cuts in Alaska history, reined in the reckless waste, cut her own expenses, sold the governor’s private jet, let the personal chef go, and put away billions of dollars in savings for Alaska for a rainy day. She was a tough CEO who went toe to toe with the Big Oil companies and fought to get the best deal for Alaskans, the resource owners she represented. And she did all of this as a woman from a modest background who was entirely self-made – without the benefit of a rich or influential father or husband.

But what in this impressive biography did CBS News and Couric choose to focus on? Moose burgers and beauty pageants.

By their choice of the framing of the story, it’s evident Couric and CBS had an agenda here: They wanted to diminish Governor Palin because her impressive record of accomplishments towered over the non-existent record of the guy at the top of Democrat ticket.

Oh so very true. Practically everyone I know who steadfastly believes that Palin is unqualified to be president, tends to be woefully ignorant of Palin’s administrative record and accomplishments. Instead, they are keenly knowledgeable of the cartoon narrative the media has created.

Thankfully the Journolist emails and this Couric video are now getting out and the media’s narrative can now be seriously questioned. Sarah Palin will no doubt use these examples of media bias to benefit should she chose to run in 2012.

Oh and regarding the names Palin chose for her children, are they any weirder than say “Whoopie" Goldberg? I wonder what old Katie Couric has to say about that one?

Katie Couric : The Pay Czar Cometh

Yesterday CBS News let the axe fly and laid off a slew of workers in the newsroom. The massive layoffs appear to have started a populist revolt against Katie Couric’s $14 million salary, with some suggesting she gets a pay cut.

From The Drudge Report: 

But her salary is now in the direct line of fire, network insiders explain, and a populist backlash against Couric's cash is said to be forming inside the newsroom.

"She makes enough to pay 200 news reporters $75,000 a year!" demands a veteran producer. "It's complete insanity." 

The angry source continues: "We report with great enthusiasm how much bankers are making, how it is out of step with reality during a recession. Well, look at Katie!" 

MORE Couric's $300,000 a week paycheck has become the obsession of disgruntled CBS staff, just as deep layoffs rock the fishbowl.

Dozens of employees -- including staff members in D.C., San Francisco, Miami, London, Los Angeles and Moscow -- are being let go, the NEW YORK OBSERVER reports. 

It is so fitting that a news station that loves to paint Wall Street and bankers, as greedy fat cats in order to stir up class envy in the population should have the same class envy come back and bite them in the ass.

Of course CBS is denying that Couric is going to get a pay cut and they say they are really happy with her performance. This sounds very hollow to me. When you read about how deep the layoffs were and realize the fact that Couric has not been able to budge CBS out of last place, you have to conclude that her $14 million salary isn’t going to last forever.

Sooner or later Katie, the Pay Czar cometh.

As the entire MSM focuses its entire attention on Sarah Palin’s Facebook statement, that calls attention to "Obama’s death panel" being "downright evil", no one in the MSM seems to have noticed that Palin issued an impressive list of articles on the health care topic over the last two days.

From viewing the list, one can clearly see that Palin has consulted a wide and diverse array of sources for various media too. As a Catholic and a blogger, I was quite impressed that Palin sited EWTN and Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion blog.

Now remember back during the campaign when Katie Couric pressed Palin for what she read:

Couric: And when it comes to establishing your worldview, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?

Palin: I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.

Couric: What, specifically?

Palin: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years.

Couric: Can you name a few?

Palin: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news, too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "Wow, how would you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?" Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.

Clearly Sarah Palin was not kidding when she said “… all of them”. Many on the left to this day believe that since Palin did not give any specific titles, that meant she was uneducated and uninformed. However anyone looking at the list above can clearly see, nothing could be further from the truth.

Now here is the big question. If Katie Couric is half the journalist she pretends to be, will she realize that Palin has given her an answer? Something tells me, if we tune into Katie tonight she will still be stuck on the old news of the “downright evil” “death panel”.

After watching Turbo Tax Timmy I got the distinct feeling I was being lied to. Did you? Maybe it is the way he tilts his head like he is looking over eye glasses that are not there. Maybe it is the way he did not answer the question about his mistakes. Maybe it was the way he rattled off a lot of meaningless bullshit that sounds good but really means nothing (like Hope & Change). Which ever way you want to slice it, he is lying!

Let us not forget this is a man who admitted he got tripped up by Turbo Tax ,a program designed to be idiot proof, yet he gets to run the Treasury during a "crisis". This is also a man who clearly cheated on his taxes too, and only came clean to get the job. To me, this makes him either an incompetent or a liar, either way, why are we considering giving this man more power?

I don't know about all of you, but there is something terribly wrong with government inserting itself into the private sector. Forcing CEO's to resign, setting salaries for everyone, guaranteeing warranties, it is just to much. Have we forgotten these are politicians? Politics are their forte. What is to stop them from shaking down companies that don't donate to their campaigns? What is to stop them from dictating what products companies should make because they want to set an agenda? Where is their experience in any of these matters? The last time I checked no elected official had any experience in building cars, yet here they are pulling the strings of GM and Chrysler! Will non government companies be allowed to compete or beat government run ones and if they beat them will they pay a political price?

These are some serious questions that no one seems to be asking. The Fourth Estate (now the Lame Steam Media) should be doing this. Unfortunately, they sold their souls to the devil to elect the president they wanted. Should he fail, then their credibility would fail as well. Don't expect any help from them.

It is time We The People take matters into our own hands. Me must exert constant pressure and tell them to STOP! Stop spending our money, stop driving us into generational debt, stop expanding their powers, stop controlling our lives. They are suppose to answer to us not the other way around.

Find a local Tea Party, attend, make your voices heard. Send tea bag or tea bag strings to your Congressmen and women. Let them know you do not like the direction the nation is going and that they must heed our words.
