That TOTUS sure does get a work out

Obama uses a teleprompter to speak to a handful of people?  That TOTUS sure does get a workout. Obama was speaking to his middle class task force.

I cannot help but wonder if these embarrassing POTUS/ TOTUS pictures are surfacing now that Obama is officially unpopular. How many shots like this existed over the last year, that the media never released because they were still drunk on Hope and Change?  When it is finally universally understood that ObamaCare is dead, I am sure old TOTUS will be getting a lot more attention.

Move over Letterman & Leno, here comes Biden!

If Obama took Biden aside for his joke about Valerie Jarrett, then he is going to kick Biden's ass for this one! Doesn't poor Old Joe know that Obama and his handlers are sensitive about the whole teleprompter thingy? I had suggested in an earlier post that Biden should get a teleprompter, to save himself from all those gaffs. I guess I was wrong, nothing can help poor Joe.

What is kind of funny, is that not too long ago, I read an article that late night comics were having trouble coming up with joke about Obama. I thought, my God are they blind? What about the teleprompter! Jeeez, there is already a very successful blog devoted to TOTUS! Perhaps they should consult Old Joe for material, he doesn't seem to have a problem finding any.

If it was for the fact that Joe Biden is a heartbeat away from the presidency, he would be the perfect comic relief for the four year tragedy we face.

The Joe Biden Teleprompter Fund

Biden Blunder #8,263

Poor crazy old Joe, he just cannot keep his foot out of his mouth. He is forever off message. He has spent all his money on Botox and hair plugs, when he had to go face to face with the beautiful Governor Palin. What Joe really, really, really needs is a snazzy new teleprompter or two, just like the big boy Barak.

I know you liberals are cheapskates, but I started a fund for you to donate to help Joe buy a new teleprompter. Pretend you are giving money to save an obscure animal or NARAL is going broke. Joe really needs your help, it is only a matter of time before he slips up and tells us what’s the real deal is about Barak’s birth certificate.

Great Orator my foot!

The great Obama was asked a question today by a BBC reporter (not from the fawning American Press). To make things worse, TOTUS was no where in sight to bail his ass out. Here is the stumbling and halting exchange.

Nick Robinson, BBC: "A question for you both, if I may. The prime minister has repeatedly blamed the United States of America for causing this crisis. France and Germany both blame Britain and America for causing this crisis. Who is right? And isn't the debate about that at the heart of the debate about what to do now?"

Barack Obama: "I, I, would say that, er ... pause ... if you look at ... pause ... the, the sources of this crisis ... pause ... the United States certainly has some accounting to do with respect to . . . pause ... a regulatory system that was inadequate to the massive changes that have taken place in the global financial system ... pause, close eyes . I think what is also true is that ... pause... here in Great Britain ... pause ... here in continental Europe ... pause ... around the world. We were seeing the same mismatch between the regulatory regimes that were in place and er ... pause ... the highly integrated, er, global capital markets that have emerged ... pause. So at this point, I'm less interested in ... pause ... identifying blame than fixing the problem. I think we've taken some very aggressive steps in the United States to do so, not just responding to the immediate crisis, ensuring banks are adequately capitalised, er, dealing with the enormous, er ... pause ... drop-off in demand and contraction that has taken place. More importantly, for the long term, making sure that we've got a set of, er, er, regulations that are up to the task, er, and that includes, er, a number that will be discussed at this summit. I think there's a lot of convergence between all the parties involved about the need, for example, to focus not on the legal form that a particular financial product takes or the institution it emerges from, but rather what's the risk involved, what's the function of this product and how do we regulate that adequately, much more effective coordination, er, between countries so we can, er, anticipate the risks that are involved there. Dealing with the, er, problem of derivatives markets, making sure we have set up systems, er, that can reduce some of the risks there. So, I actually think ... pause ... there's enormous consensus that has emerged in terms of what we need to do now and, er ... pause ... I'm a great believer in looking forwards than looking backwards.

Kind of reminds you of someone?

The Telltale Teleprompter

I am not going into a bunch of TOTUS jokes here. If you want that, check out the Barak Obama's Teleprompter's Blog. Rather, I want to touch on two things that stuck me when I saw Obama use his new Jumbo Promter.

  • Methinks Obama and his handlers are finally starting to notice that the over use of teleprompters is becoming an issue.

  • If it is starting to become an issue why on earth would they think that Jumbo Prompter is the answer?
