They call it "art": Palin Crucifixion Painting

If Islam is no better or worse than Christianity, then we should expect a murderous rampage from Christians of over this. Methinks not!

Gateway Pundit: Killing two birds with one stone.
The left found a way to display their hate for Jesus and Sarah Palin in one art exhibit.
Here’s one of the paintings from the Jesus Is Coming show at the R & R Gallery in LA

Here is the announcement of the show from their website:

Opening receptionFriday Jan. 28th, 2011 7p – MidnightOngoing from the 31st – Feb. 11th
Group show featuringAlex Hinton, Austen Stanton, Ben Sanders, Carly Ealey, Cody Comrie, Dan Park, Daniel James Keegan O’Connell, Dave Frey, Emily Ratajkowski, Evan Stink Rossell, Evanimal, Pamela Jewell, Patch Davis, Gareth Stehr, Heather McMillen, Jeben Berg, Jess Sluder, Kate Elizabeth Keegan O’Connell, Kevin Lewis, Mad Steez, Marco Saiz, Nil Ultra, Rob Bowen, Sean Fahlen, Sterling Bartlett, Steve Saiz, Sven Altmetz, Tony DeMille, Wendy Teague & X
The R&R Gallery is celebrating it’s very first trip around the sun with a salute to The Man. That’s right, we’re pulling out the big guns…it’s The JESUS SHOW. Whether you’re a believer or an unrepentant sinner, come out and give props to the O.G. Badass. We may not be turning water into wine, but we’ll be trying our damndest, with original works by some of the finest of God’s children. Holy Sh*t.
Talk about perfect timing. Just as I got through saying that there is a big difference between between how Islam and Christianity handles offence to their religion, here comes a test case.

I have long ago grown tired of these so called "artists" who rely on being provocative rather than being talented to sell their BS. If you are truly talented, your sills will speak for itself without having to push anyone's buttons. Junk like this will never stand up to the test of time because its value rest sole upon the importance of the intend target. If Palin is never elected President, who will even remember the significance of this painting? Answer: not a damn sole.

I'm constantly surprised at the high tolerance level of the left toward their own extreme hate and desire for others to die.

Living in NYC, the amount of hatred toward palin from those "independent" women is "mind bubbling," as will ferrel would say. It's not even a logical kind of hate, because they can't explain why.

I wonder if this is something the taxpayers are funding via the National Endowment for the Arts....

This offends me so much, on so many levels that I can barely type fast enough! Is this what they have in mind when they say they want to save the arts?

This is disgusting. Some talentless hack may become famous by being scandalous-it's not funny, it's not talent, and it's not art. This hack is insulting our intelligence by assuming that his/her lack of talent will be masked by scandal!

When did tolerance become so accepting? We are powerless against this type of attack. If opponents of this were to protest we'd just be labeled "crazy Christians" or “intolerant”, and if they were to strike back suddenly we're "bad Christians and vengeful." How have we been backed into such a corner and more importantly, how do we get out?

I'm very offended as a Christian conservative. But, i don't have the urge to kill anybody over it. Guess who who needs to follow my example?

Funny how if you say anything that might be offensive to 1. conservative, 2. republican [and libertarian, of course], 3. white, 4. Christian, 5. Catholics, then you get a free pass from the left.

If you should combine the groups from the 1 to 5, then you get kudos and invite to TV.

But if you MIGHT offend any one outside these major groups, then, of course, you are a racist bigot who needs to be put down like an animal.

I would not be the least bit surprised if they were. Usually hack artists like this could never make it in the free market.

I too am offended. I take my religion seriously and I like Palin. The best way to fight crap like this is to voice you disapproval. Don't let they ridicule you into silence. Remember freedom of speech is a two way street. Yes, the hack artist is free to produce this stuff, but he/she is not guaranteed a receptive audience.

The second step we must all take is to make sure our tax dollar never, ever, ever supports crap like this.

As a conservative Catholic, I too am offended, but I will not be going to the UN building in a murderous rage.

2nd Anony:

The other reason they won't offend certain groups is because they fear the blow back. Don't think that the left is playing nice-nice with Islam because they find they underdogs, they play nice-nice because they fear beheading!

I'm a Christian and find this repulsive on so many levels. What response will flow out of this reaction? Murderous rampage? Nah. Blow up a plane or two? No way. Strap explosives to myself and detonate in a crowded public place? Nope.
Pray for the deceived, demented souls out of whom this garbage flows? Yes. Pray for our nation and for the safety of Mrs. Palin and others? Absolutely. Keep exposing this ugliness and telling the truth? You betcha.

I will not accept the attack on the Mohammedan religion for criminal elements using its name.

I do not follow any religion or hold any beliefs about God and I still find this offensive. Is the "artist" comparing Palin to Christ or implying that she should suffer the same kind of torture? It is not art by any stretch of the imagination.
