Rep. Marion Berry to retire: Will there be any Dems left to vote out?

Arkansas Rep. Marion Berry will announce his retirement sometime today. He is now the sixth Democratic House member not running in 2010. Berry joins fellow Arkansas Rep. Vic Snyder who also announced that he would not seek re-election.

At this rate will there be any Democrats left to vote out? I am sure in the coming months we will be seeing more Democrats taking the easy way out, rather than face the blistering anger from the electorate.

On the bright side, with each announcement not to see re-election, the Republicans get one step closer acquiring the 40 seats needed to gain control of the House. I sincerely hope that as Republicans approach that magic number the do some serious soul searching and begin figuring out whom they want as leadership. Quite frankly, I am not so sure John Boehner is the man for the job.

As much as it pleases me to see these rats and roaches scurry away, it's a shame that they're such frickin' COWARDS!

At any rate, I'm still concerned that a Republican reboot would be radioactive. I'd much rather see a mix of SOLID conservative Independents, Libertarians and Tea Party folks. Nevertheless, whoever gets in next...PLEASE DON'T SCREW IT UP!! *facepalm*

Are his teeth really that yellow? If so, it's good that he's retiring. With that premium health insurance he has, he'll have plenty of time and resources to get them nice and white.

The Republicans are expecting not to lift much of a finger in order to get back in power. This is why they casually endorse people like Charlie Crist or Dede Scozzafava. I too would like to see a better ideological mix on the right. One that leaned a tad more libertarian perhaps.
