VIDEO: Mitt Romney at CPAC 2011

In the words of the Black Eyed Peas, that speech was so 2000 and late.  Through out the whole speech I keep saying to myself, nice stuff, but where was all that tough talk over the last two years when conservatives needed him? Also, don't think I did not notice that ObamaCare was not mentioned once during the entire 20 minutes.

Mitt Romney is a very polished career politician.  He has groomed himself for the White House with the right style, all the needed positions and all the right connections.  Unfortunately for Mitt the landscape he based his rise to White House on has now shifted drastically.  Things like strong convictions, authenticity and honesty are now all in high demand.  Romney is falling short on all three.

He still has a shot at the nomination so long as conservatives cannot quickly rally around a candidate.  Should conservatives become confused or dispirited like they were in 2008, Romney will be our nominee by default.

I am not sure if this has made it into the media yet or not. His handlers are now marketing him as the Anti Palin.

I am thinking hey they are not lying. He is not Palin.

The Anti-Palin, LOL! He has his work cut out for him. From what I hear a Palin impersonator almost upstaged him at CPAC.

I think you may be a wee bit too down on Romvey. He may be the best candidate we have because of his busness background. As far as health care, there's a big difference in im[lementing a mandate as a state, which stateshave the power to do, and trying to do it from a federal leveln which I believe is unconstittuional. Romey already as an answer for that question.

I don't think I am. There can be absolutely no question when it comes to the repeal of ObamaCare. Should ObamaCare not be fully repealed, America as we know it will forever be changed. We will become exactly what Europe is slowly trying to escape.

The fact that Romney's conservative Spidey Senses did not kick in with RomneyCare, gives me great pause when it comes to counting on him to repeal and replace ObamaCare. I also fear he may try to "fix" ObamaCare to save his own legacy with RomneyCare. Again way too risky for my taste.

Furthermore, I don't see him beating Obama. Remember, all those attacks against Palin have now created a new standard for the left. Do you see Romney standing up against the crap Palin has? I don't. Check out these two videos of Romney dealing with the left.

Simply put, they will eat his lunch.

Romney does have economic skills that will come in handy ... under someone else's administration.

God save us from confusion and dispiritedness then, Romney is the LAST person I want to be our nominee. Yes, last. Behind loon Ron Paul, even.
