Well it is about time my brother! Why has it taken so long to call out Obama? Heck, he showed his socialist behind from the get go, so why bother with all the niceties? Steele, hit many of the things that the base has been saying since January. While I am inspired by his words, it is the deeds that I will have to keep my eyes on. If Michael Steele wants to successfully take on Obama, he is going to have to start making clones of this guy:
UPDATE
Sarah Palin Comes Out Swinging
It appears that Palin was listening when Steele said we are going to take the fight to the Democrats. Given the absolute torture the left is slinging at Palin, you would think she would lay low. Instead she is full of fight. This woman has bigger cajones than many of her male counterparts in DC!
From SarahPac:
Statement from Governor Sarah Palin
The transition from Candidate Obama to President Obama has been as predictable as Alaska's winter snow.
We are now witnessing actions that will lead to a monumental shift away from free market capitalism and the strong work ethic that built this great country. 'Change' in this administration has meant rapid movement toward massive government growth, huge tax burdens on future generations, and an unprecedented reliance upon foreign countries.
Today, we learned that Obama’s decisions continue to impact Alaskans; while we as taxpayers now own General Motors, Obama closes another dealership – this time in Soldotna as more of Alaskans’ hard-earned money and jobs are lost to big government. Government should not be in the auto industry business. In Alaska, we have also seen a shift in federal priorities that threaten the loss of subsidized village health care services under the same candidate who led you to believe he'd insure all Americans. The inconsistent messages and actions are unsettling.
But we have another voice in Washington, DC – a man who understands what Alaskans believe: less centralized government control, restrained budgets, more opportunity for development, and fewer taxes. Today, we have a friend in RNC Chairman Michael Steele and his bold and courageous speech defines his leadership goals that will guide us all through this most difficult time for our nation.”

I am all about Daniel Hannan. He speaks out about socialized medicine. As the wife of a surgeon, I am petrified by the idea of the government coming in and stealing away his profession. Hannan says that the good doctors all left the UK and now no amount of money will fix their medical system. Especially since they pay teachers higher than doctors in the UK.
Glad to hear Steele found his steel. I know that we, the Conservative American People, will have to retake the Republican Party and steer it back to Reaganism, hopefully, so that through tax cuts we can stimulate the REAL private economy and give confidence to Americans who wish to start of continue in business.
Without business, there *is* no tax base.
You're right about Steele, It's About Time.
I am glad to see that I am not the only one impressed by Steele's comeback.
Let's hope he doesn't let this second chance slip.
I'm with Clifton, I want to see him put his money where his mouth is and not just his money, his time and his influence. Get done Steel. Great post Clifton.
I love, love, love Daniel Hannan! I posted about him a couple months ago.
And I do not trust Michael Steele yet, I agree I need to see the action along with the words.
Opus #6
Hannan is amazing. He so clearly and forcefully attacks the foolishness of socialism head on. Why can't the GOP leadership do this?
I am on a wait a see approach with Steele. He loves to play cute, but right now the party needs action not cute.
It is good to see Palin stepping up to the plate. I bet you she won't have trouble finding the words to bash socialism.
Emptysuit:
Yes it is, I will be waiting to see how long it takes for those words to turn into action.
Bluepitbull:
If Steele brings action to those words and gets other Republicans to start speaking like this, then he will have succeeded. I for one am sick and tired of the moderate approach of go along to get along.
CLNO:
Yep, the words were nice but action will be a whole lot better!
Joie:
Hannan is EXACTLY what we need in Republicans today. No getting side tracked on little issues or questioning whether or not to use the word "socialist".
Like you I want to see those words put into action. It is going to take a strong hand to quiet the moderates in the party and get them to act on these words.
