A brief word on the Obamas skipping church on Christmas

It has been noted the Obamas did not go to Church this Christmas season. It is also noted that since coming to the White House that the Obamas have been rather infrequent churchgoers.

I make mention of this not because it is important to me whether the POTUS attends church regularly, but because of the whole Rev. Wright incident.  I never really accepted Obama’s answers about Rev. Wright. Obama said he went to the Reverend’s church for twenty years, yet never heard a peep of the reverend’s nuttiness.

I always thought this had to be a lie. Either Obama was lying about not hearing any of Wright’s “damning” statements or Obama was lying about being a regular attendant of the church.  Seeing how things have played out thus far with the Obamas and church attendance, I think we now have a truthful answer.

Are there no other members of that church? I mean, when I skip synagogue for a few weeks in a row, I hear about it when I get back. People remember.

Doesn't anybody remember Obama in those 20 years? Will they not tell us the answer as best they can recall?

It could have been helpful information during the campaign. Now it is a bit overdue.

I read the article from Time as well. What I really found interesting was the excuse that they used as why he hasn't gone. They are worried about the crowds and putting other people out. If that were the concern then he would never go anywhere.

Other first families have gone to church on a regular basis. The Clintons were wildly popular at times during his presidency. If memory serves they went to church if not every week, at least several times a month.

On top of that, as a person of faith, one very important thing to anyone who has deep faith is that they would not want thier children to miss church for this long.

If anyone didn't think he was lying about Rev. Wright, then they are clearly dilussional. He lied and people bought because they wanted to buy it.

Going to church, especially at Christmas, is important. This is the season of the Christ-Child. Any practicing Christian should know that.
Obama has set a secular, socialist tone for your country and no one- regardless of their faith or background- should stand for it.

This is why I think he was lying about his attendance. How is it no one can remember seeing him at any of these firebrand masses over the course of 20 years?

I think Obama simply lied about being a regular churchgoer. He probably belonged to the church for political reasons and then never really attended. Either way, he told a big lie.

You make a great point about the children. I remember my parents moving heaven and earth to make sure my brothers and sisters did not miss a week of church. I cannot imagine any parent who claims to be of faith allowing their children to skip church for so long. Good catch.

Obama's great flaw in his design to shift the nation left is that Americans do not take well to dictates. His idea that we will all just go secular and socialist simply because he pushes it, is a recipe for disaster.

Unfortunately, people are secularising themselves but that is another topic. For Obama to press this on a population should have set off red flags from the word go.

This is where Americans need to really hold the media accountable. During the election the media accepted all of Obama's BS excuses without a question.

When this president fails, they MUST share a huge part of the blame.

Wonder how many other Christians saw fit to go to the gym Christmas morning?

He probably did go to church in Chicago, but for political reasons. And he probably considere4d
Rev. Wright's views as nothing extra ordinary either (Wright is almost pro-American compared to some of his friends.)
