Obama to push amnesty, just in time for 2010 elections

With many Democrat’s reelection prospects looking more and more like Mission Impossible, Obama seems to have a plan. This bit of news from The New York Times [emphasis added mine]:
The Obama administration will insist on measures to give legal status to an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants as it pushes early next year for legislation to overhaul the immigration system, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said on Friday.
In her first major speech on the overhaul, Ms. Napolitano dispelled any suggestion that the administration — with health care, energy and other major issues crowding its agenda — would postpone the most contentious piece of immigration legislation until after midterm elections next November.
Anyone wants to bet that these 12 million newly minted Americans will be ever so grateful to their new socialist overlords?

Of course, Napolitano (a clown if ever there was one) had to sound all tough and stuff:
Laying out the administration’s bottom line, Ms. Napolitano said officials will argue for a “three-legged stool” that includes tougher enforcement laws against illegal immigrants and employers who hire them and a streamlined system for legal immigration, as well as a “tough and fair pathway to earned legal status.”
Whatever that pathway is, I am sure all 12 million illegals will be able to complete it  before November 2010.

Once again Obama and the Democrats are being totally irresponsible in their blind pursuit to complete their liberal wet dreams. America has backbreaking debt, double digit unemployment and may even have the new cost of “free health care”, with all that on the plate why are we adding 12 million more people to the rolls? Many of these illegal aliens will no doubt qualify for all kinds of social assistance programs because they have been working for salaries below minimum wage.

Now is the time for Washington to start thinking of America in terms of being “too big to fail”.

2 problems with this for Obama:

First, the number of illegals that have lost jobs under Obama is huge,

Second, the number of voters this will anger will far exceed the voters it will "buy".

So it's another lose-lose for BHO.

I hope Andrew is right.
I am not one bit surprised that this is the next issue on Obama's plate. He must get as many people under his socialist wing as he can to ensure a Democrat win in the upcoming elections...especially his in 2012. We must hope and pray that Americans will fight as hard as they did last time (even more) to defeat it.
When will this end???

This is why we were so glad to get rid of Napolitano here in AZ.

The only one here with the guts to address the illegal problem is Sheriff Joe. Unfortunately he gets no support from the state or the feds.

Just the opposite, they have investigated him, tried to pull his funding and even refuse to deport those that he catches unless they have committed a crime. Apparently entering the country illegally is not considered a crime.

Obama knows damn well the jig will be up by 2010. He knows his party's majority is toast and he won't be able to do anything after that. Our job is to slow them down as much as possible.

I remember reading about Napolitano back in January and I was floored that Obama would have ever considered such an incompetent for Home Land Security.
