A perfect answer to the Tea Party color question

Perfectly said my brother.  I bet she wasn’t expecting that for an answer. So many on the left refuse to believe that there are blacks in America who do not think of themselves as some sort of subset of American.  The belief is that because your skin is black, you are somehow removed from the full American experience. Nothing could be further from the truth.

It is high time we stop thinking of ourselves as subsets or groups. We are all Americans and it is a simple as that.

The simpleton Birthers along with the Tea baggers are the same whiners that were crying when the McCain/Bailin ticket lost. Now that their yelling and screaming failed to stop the health care debate and the bill from passing they are crying again. Let’s face it the Republicans had eight years to deal with health care, immigration, climate change and financial oversight and governance and they failed. The Republicans are good at starting wars (two in eight years, with fat contracts to friends of Cheney/Bush) but not at winning wars as seen by the continuing line of body bags that keep coming home. Instead of participating in the health care debate of ideas the Republicans party turned inward to their old fashion obstructionist party (and their Confederacy roots). In my opinion the Republican Waterloo loss was caused by the party allowing a small portions (but very loud) of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” to take over their party. I will admit that this fringe is very good at playing “Follow the Leader” by listening to their dullard leaders, Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush, Savage, Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and the rest of the Blowhards and acting as ill programmed robots (they have already acted against doctors that perform abortions). The Birthers and the Tea party crowd think they can scare, intimidate and force others to go along with them by comments like “This time we came unarmed”, let me tell you something not all ex-military join the fringe militia crazies who don’t pay taxes and run around with face paint in the parks playing commando, the majority are mature and understand that the world is more complicated and grey than the black and white that these simpleton make it out to be and that my friend is the point. The world is complicated and people like Hamilton, Lincoln, and Roosevelt believed that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now it’s about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. Although some Republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe most of them, having no game plan/ vision for our country, are just going along and fanning the flames. For a party that gave us Abraham Lincoln, it is tragic that the ranks are filled with too many empty suits. But they now claim they have changed, come on, what sucker is going to believe that? All I can say to you is remember Waterloo.

They are always looking to stir the pot. This was a great answer and an answer that black leaders should learn from. We are all Americans no matter the color!

Wow...I got a bit teary eyed when I watched this video. This man spoke volumes with just a few words. Thanks for posting it, Clifton.

I love it. The left hates the TeaParties so much that their really opinion of black people has seeped out in the steam of their vitriol. They cannot accept America for what truly makes it strong, a melting pot of different people who are one as Americans.E Pluribus Unum is heresy to the average Democrat.

Wow, what has Montana been smoking? Too funny and too just plain stupid for words, really. Does this person actually KNOW anybody that's been to a tea party? I don't even know anybody who is a "birther" (although my husband and I did discuss why Obama won't release his actual birth certificate; maybe it lists a different father than the one he's claimed? And that's not HIS fault. Just makes you wonder why the actual certificate with the actual seal has never been released.), and I don't know anybody who is "fringe". And we DO pay taxes ...

Anonymous is right- It cracks the door open for you to take a look at what they think of you.

"You're here with all these white people, don't you feel out of place"- Answer:, "No, I don't- We're Americans, not white/black people"

You see how it looks when you read the sub-text?

It's a passive way to keep you where they feel you belong. Sorry, too many black people have been kept down and seen the light at the same time. You don't own them so stop intimidating Americans into thinking they are property of any party. This can be a second re-birth of America at it's biggest time of need.

Yawn, when is this black/white thing going to go out of date like an expired vegetable? We are Americans, we are humans and we come in all shades from umber to ivory. Now, I have to fill out my stupid census form which requires me to list my "race". That wold be human, bean counters.

Montana thinks all tea partiers are birthers? Sorry, not only do I not believe that, I think that people who do are a little on the crazy side. Also, I pay a great deal in taxes, that are only going to go up and up until all this crazy spending stops.

You just don't get Montana - for many at the tea party, it is not about party, it is about responsibility. The people currently in office have not a clue what that means.

Normally I would have sent your comment to the trash bin of cyberspace, but I thought it would be good to let your comment see the light of day, if only to show what a confused fellow you are.

Basically, your screed appears to amount to is that since the Republicans screwed up, we should just accept whatever the Democrats offer us. Sorry Montana, but that is an unacceptable argument. The Democrat, Obama in particular, promised sunshine, rainbows and puppy dogs. Instead they offer corruption, self dealing and socialism.

Such blatantly broken promises can only be described as betrayal. This is why the Democrats are going to get the ass kicking of a life time come November.

So feel free to go on rambling about birthers, teabaggers, Palin, Beck or whatever right wing villain is in vogue today, We The People have work to do setting things right again.

Montana is someone who spends waaaaay too much time watching MSNBC and reading the Daily Kos. Worse yet, Montana would never ever go to a tea party to see the truth for himself (herself).

It isn't that the left hates the Tea Parties, it is that the left fears the Tea parties. They fear them because the Tea Party exposes a simple truth: Liberal thought is NOT mainstream thought.

Stopthepress2:

You speak my language. I have said that after the 2010 elections, the Tea Party should take a little time out to expose the media for the liars they are.

Ozzie:

Yes it is a sort of passive racism. I have experienced it many times from liberals. Whenever white liberals find out I am a strong conservative the demand to know why. It is almost like I am not allowed to have an independent opinion.

Janelle:

I too find the whole black/ white thing beyond tiresome. Lets just let it go already. Hopefully one day soon only three colors will matter in America, red, white and blue.

Hey Montana, This is what you sound like. Blah, blah, blah, Teabagger, blah, blah, Republicans are evil, blah, blah, birthers, blah, blah, blah, I love Obama, blah, Michelle has great arms, blah, blah. Waterloo, blah.
That is as deep as you get because you are uninformed. I am guessing you get your news from MSNBC and the HuffPo. You are a close-minded partisan who doesn't live in reality. OPEN YOUR MIND and find the truth.
You are one ofthe fringe Montana who would voted themselves into Communism as long as the dictator has a (D) next to his name.

I have some great video and pictures of the Clinton Twp.counter protest. Feel free to use them as it shows what they are really like and the hate and anger they have. I've made many posts on the subject since April 11. Why do the libs only see us by the color of our skin instead of our character? When I someone I don't gicve a crape what color or national origine they are. If they are good people the amount of melonine in their skin means nothing. Shame on these libs for making everything about color. The libs are truying to make the fall of Detroit, where I live, about color not liberal policy. What a bunch of sickos. www.bonsaifromtheright.blogspot.com

That's going to be my answer for everything: "we're Americans!"

I think people were heard to speak that way after 09/11, and the media let them speak. But this guy got lucky, being in the right place at the right time with the right answer. The media won't make THAT mistake again.

God, I'm sick of the MSM.

I'm so glad Montana posted here to let me know what a simpleton I am. Yep... that arrogance will win you lots of converts.

Now let me clear up something your YOU, Montana:

1) The leftist troll always believes himself to be smarter than his opponent. Always. No matter how idiotic his arguments, no matter how easily they are torn apart, he never wavers in this belief.
2) Similarly, the troll knows that he is better educated. Even if he is a high school freshman arguing against someone with multiple degrees, his opponent is always an ignorant, illiterate boob with a third-grade education.
3) His opponents are racists. ALL of them. This is not even guilty-until-proven-innocent, since there is no way for the opponent to prove to the leftist that he isn't racist.
4) His opponents are fascists. The leftist troll doesn't even truly understand the meaning of the word, but nonetheless labels everyone who disagrees with him as fascists or Nazis.
5) The troll believes himself to be tolerant, yet shows no respect whatsoever for anyone's opinion that doesn't agree with his. He is perfectly willing to indulge in the vilest accusations and basest insults, all the while believing in his heart that he is a tolerant and open-minded person. Leftists HATE. They hate with a pure, single-minded passion that would impress a member of the KKK.
6) There is NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER in their political views. Quiz them on a subject, and you can always predict the answer they will give you. The trolls are interchangeable.

I truly wish this could just stop. The fact that a race card is being played so consistently and so openly all the time shows just how little substance the left really has. I dont give a RIP what color the president is, I care how his policies affect our society and my familiy and I, and I want this president replaced. If the next one is white, black, green, or purple, its all good as long as as long as he implements policies that restore jobs, national security, and reduces the intrusion of government into our private sector of business, and our private lives. The guy in teh video never even batted an eye, didn't have to think about it, it just came out. You know thats how he really feels and thats how it should be. Keep up the good work Clifton.
