Doctor turns away Obama voters

File this under “you reap what you sow”.
From Orlando Sentinel: MOUNT DORA — A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obamato seek care "elsewhere."
"I'm not turning anybody away — that would be unethical," Dr. Jack Cassell, 56, a Mount Dora urologist and a registered Republican opposed to the health plan, told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. "But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it."
The sign reads: "If you voted for Obama…seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years."
[snip]
Cassell, who has practiced medicine in GOP-dominated Lake County since 1988, said he doesn't quiz his patients about their politics, but he also won't hide his disdain for the bill Obama signed and the lawmakers who passed it.
In his waiting room, Cassell also has provided his patients with photocopies of a health-care timeline produced by Republican leaders that outlines "major provisions" in the health-care package. The doctor put a sign above the stack of copies that reads: "This is what the morons in Washington have done to your health care. Take one, read it and vote out anyone who voted for it."

To be quite frank I say good for the Hope Dopes. If pain is to be felt from ObamaCare let it fall on all those stupid enough to have voted for it.  I understand that online polls are not accurate or scientific, but check out the poll in the article, you will be amazed at the results.

This is terrific! I "hope" more doctors do this. Lets see the lawsuits fly! Americans will see what PRIVATE practice means!

If the opposite happens, that is Gov. FORCING, then before it even starts there will be no doctors to implement ANY CARE.

CAN YOU SAY REPEAL! YES WE CAN!
CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!

This is the best news I have read in a while.. I am so for what this doctor is doing and I too hope that more businesses go forth with this practice.

I am going to look up his business phone number, give them a call and show support.

The government can push, but they know the health care industry doesn't have enough people and the new law will only make it worse. It's not a good time to drive people from the healthcare industry.

The congresscritters are now at home, away from the ideasphere of D.C., and finding they've angered an entire nation. I'm thinking many will be appalled at their lack of judgement.

Last week I thought that it would be beneficial to immediately pass through the cost increases to the employee as an act of defiance that would outline the increased costs imposed by the new health care legislation, however, I learned yesterday on the radio that the insurance companies were threatened (go figure) to be excluded from conducting business in the "exchanges" set up by the legislation if they passed on the cost (increased their premiums) to the consumer. I understand that this applies to insurance companies, however, employers should step up and join in the fight. It may end up looking bad on them, but it will highlight the enmity Obama has brought to the private sector.

Another interesting corollary is that insurance companies will be instantly placed at near failure status, and that would open them up (much like GM/NBC) to a government bailout/buyout. In otherwords, we may get nationalized health care through the backdoor by Obama logic of "too big to fail". Remember, it's not what he wants, but it's what he may have to do. The thought crossed my mind, but a very perceptive Rush caller brought up this very scenario when I failed to connect the dots.

If the doctors and businesses can show some spine and hold it together through the rough times that may come due to actions like this we may be able to turn this back immediately. The country is very upset with DC right now and any further pain on the American people would be inherently tied to this terrible administration. The administration would try to play the blame game, but America isn't taking it sitting down anymore. We know their games (coercive use of power) and it is tired.

Good for him. Elections do INDEED have consequences.

Please forgive me, but I love the fact that Dr. Cassell is a Urologist. It would be even better if he was a Proctologist.

There are many like this guy, unfortunately, too few willing to go so far as this.

My former neurologist, normally a woman of utmost professionalism, had sneers and not many nice words to say about healthcare DEFORM... and the business climate here in Michigan finally drove her from the state.

People want to see what's in the pipe for America, just look in this direction and see what's happened/happening here.

I just saw him interviewed. Classic.
