Bad sign: Western journalists attacked in Egypt

Journalists in Egypt were attacked and harnessed today.  ABC News reporter Brian Huntsman was threatened with beheading.  Fox News reporter Greg Palkot and his cameraman were hospitalized. Anderson Cooper who was attacked yesterday, reports today that his car was attacked.  CBS News reports that one of its correspondents were detained in Cairo. The New York Times reports that gangs are hunting western journalists.  ABC News has compiled a complete list of all attacks on western journalists.

It appear all this is being done to create a news blackout.  Such a blackout could be a precursor to ramped up violence against the protesters.  If Mubarak's forces are successful is squelching this uprising America can pretty much forget Egypt as an ally after calling for his departure.

Disturbing Video: 10:10

This is the other disturbing video featured on Glenn Beck’s show yesterday.  The Greenie movement tipped their hand with this one. What is the message here?  Get Green or else?
I cannot image a brainstorming session where the idea of blowing up children would come out a winner.  I think for the Ghia first crowd, the lack of love for the human race is starting to show. Yes, it is wonderful to save the planet, but if there are no human beings there to appreciate it, does it really matter? Chew on that, Greenies!

One Nation Behaving Badly: Human Events reporter assaulted at One Nation Rally

Human Events: A liberal protester at the “One Nation Working Together” march physically assaulted a HUMAN EVENTS reporter who was videotaping Rep. Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y) at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where the liberal rally took place.

The reporter, Emily Miller, was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel as the Harlem congressman glad-handed supporters in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, “Please don’t hit me.” The protester proceeds to yell at the reporter, “Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? A--hole.” The activist was attempting to meet Rangel herself. Miss Miller continued videotaping the event, when suddenly the same unhinged protester lunged at her, hit her on the arm, and yelled, “Don’t take my picture.” [MORE]

According to the media meme, Tea Partiers are suppose to be angry and hateful, yet to date there has never been anything like this at a Tea Party.  Can you imagine a black girl and a white girl getting into a shoving match at a Tea Party?  Jesus, we would still be seeing replays of that incident.  Since this happened at a leftwing rally don’t expect to see this video anywhere else but online or maybe Fox News.

Other things the media won’t show you will be just what a mess the Earth loving lefties left.

Dems behaving badly, Part 623: Kansas City Dem attacks MOGOP videographer

Gateway Pundit: The Missouri Republican Party has released footage of a weekend assault against a MOGOP videographer perpetrated by one of Robin Carnahan’s staunch supporters… a Kansas City area Democrat leader.
The altercation took place on August 7 in a parking lot in front of the Clay County Democrat HQ while Carnahan was speaking inside. The leftist assailant gets in the face of the videographer and threatens to “knock the [explicative] out of you, boy.”
From the video: On August 7, a supporter of Robin Carnahan assaulted an MOGOP videograpger in the parking lot in front of a County Democrat HQ while Carnahan was speaking inside. The assailant has been identified as Bill Skaggs, the Kansas City mayor pro tem (1st district councilman) and former member of the State House of Representatives (1982-2002).
As reported by the Kansas City Star, Skaggs refused to apologize and falsely accused the videographer of being “belligerent.”
The Democrats sure are getting ugly these days.  This is only the tip of the iceberg; just wait until after they get routed in November. They will gin up the circular firing squad and have at each other.  Scenes like this will be repeated over and over again, but this time it will be Dem on Dem.

Home of Mohammed Cartoonist Lars Vilks attacked

Less than a week after being attacked at a university, Lars Vilks home was attacks with an attempted firebombing.

Washington Post: STOCKHOLM -- The home of a Swedish artist who once drew a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad as a dog has been hit by a suspected arson attack, police said Saturday.
Lars Vilks, who lives in Nyhamnslage in southern Sweden, was not at home during the attack late Friday night and no one was reported injured.
It was the latest in a week of attacks on the 53-year-old cartoonist, who was assaulted Tuesday by a man while he lectured at a university and saw his Web site apparently attacked by hacker on Wednesday.
Police were alerted just before noon Saturday, as people passing by the artist's house noted that several windows had been smashed. When officers arrived, they discovered plastic bottles filled with gasoline and fire damage on the surface of the building. Attackers are also suspected of having tried setting the inside of house on fire, but the flames are thought to have fizzled out. […]

Vilks is on record saying he is not afraid and claims to be ready for these attacks:
Daily Caller: Vilks has faced numerous death threats over the controversial cartoon, but said in March he has built his own defense system, including a “homemade” safe room and a barbed-wire sculpture that could electrocute potential intruders.
He said he also has an ax “to chop down” anyone trying to climb through the windows of his home in southern Sweden.
“If something happens, I know exactly what to do,” Vilks told The Associated Press in an interview in Stockholm.
Vilks also owns a guard dog named Mohammad.
Personally, guard dogs, axes and safe rooms are nice, but nothing stops fanatics faster than good old fashion hot lead! If I were Lars, I would pack it up and move to the States were you are still allowed to defend your life with deadly force.

Complete Video: The Attack On Mohammed Cartoonist Lars Vilks

Some of you have already seen the video clip where Muslim students, who were enraged by his work, attack the Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks. Ace of Spades posted the complete video, which contains the full aftermath of the attack.

The video is about 10 minutes long, watch it all the way through. It tells so much more than the short clip of the attack.

The thing that jumps out at me the most is that these native Swedes have to be the most passive bunch of sheeples I have ever seen. Right before their eyes, these angry Muslim students trample over free speech; the hallmark of western civilization and the Swedes can’t even muster a cough of indignation. With the exception of one young lady who speaks up after the lecture is canceled, not a single one of the Swedes says boo.

Have these people been so cowered by the threat of Islamic violence they dare not defend free speech in their native land or are these sheeple so screwed up in the head with PC BS that all they notice is the offense to the Muslims?

I also cannot help think how perfectly Eric Holder would fit right in with this crowd.

What were your thoughts from the full version of the video?

Santa Cruz May Day protest turn violent

Again and again the media wants us to believe that it is the Tea Parties that are actually violent. Meanwhile, we repeated see evidence that the truly violent protest come from the left. To date there have been nothing even close to this at a Tea Party rally.

Mercury News: SANTA CRUZ - A large group of protesters demonstrating at a May Day rally for worker's and immigrant rights downtown broke off into a riot vandalizing about a dozen businesses around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Many in the group were carrying makeshift torches as they marched, breaking storefront windows and writing "anarchist graffiti" on buildings, according to Capt. Steve Clark. Many businesses sustained multiple broken windows including very large storefront windows at Urban Outfitters and The Rittenhouse building. Police believe at least 15 businesses suffered damage.
The violence was initiated from a group holding a rally at the town clock for May Day. Windows at Jamba Juice and Velvet Underground were left shattered and graffiti including anarchy signs were tagged onto buildings.
Because of the size and violent demeanor of the crowd, Santa Cruz police asked for help from all agencies in the county to break up the riot. At one point, protesters lit a fire on the porch of Caffe Pergolesi and blocked access to firefighters, officers said. Police were able to clear out the demonstrators before more damage was caused.
A large rock sat outside Verizon Wireless on the 100 block of Cooper Street, where vandals tried to break the window twice, according to Clark.
"The damage that was caused was without purpose," Clark said. "It was senseless violence that victimized a community who cannot afford to be victimized in this manner. This did nothing to add credit to whatever they believed their cause was." [MORE]

Here is some video of the protesters via Gateway Pundit

Look at those torches! If a Tea Partier has a sign that says "torches" or "pitchforks", the media is wetting the bed about “violence”, yet here are some crazy lefties running through the streets with real torches and not a peep.

I have said it before and I will say it again, after the 2010 elections the Tea Parties need to turn their attention to the MSM. We simply cannot afford to have the media be this bias come 2012.

Comedy Gold! Riot Police Called Out For Quincy Illinois Tea Party Rally

Quincy Herald Whig: Quincy Tea Party members wanted President Barack Obama to know they were present Wednesday afternoon during his appearance in Quincy.
About 200 people protesting Obama's policies loudly chanted "USA, USA" as his motorcade made its way out of the Oakley-Lindsay Center, then sang "Hey, hey, hey, goodbye" as the vehicle went by.
The participants were vocal but well-behaved as they stood on the north side of York Street across from the OLC. […]
There were a few tense moments when the crowd moved west down York toward Third Street after the president's motorcade arrived. A Secret Service agent asked the crowd to move back across the street to the north side.
When the crowd didn't move and began singing "God Bless, America" and the national anthem, Quincy Deputy Police Chief Ron Dreyer called for members of the Mobile Field Force to walk up the street.
The officers, mainly from Metro East departments near St. Louis and dressed in full body armor, marched from the east and stood on the south side of York facing the protesters.
There was no physical contact, and the officers did not come close to the crowd, but there were catcalls and more than a few upset tea party members, including a woman who shouted, "This is communism!"
McQueen also assisted in asking people to step back to the north side of York. The crowd moved back, the officers stayed for about 15 minutes and left, and there were no other incidents.
"It's just a communication issue. We were trying to get them to move across the street," Quincy Deputy Police Chief Curt Kelty said. "We were just trying to move them back, they complied, and it was fine."
Several of the Quincy Tea Party members thanked Kelty as they left the area.[…]
If you think thats funny, just watch the video below.

This has to be the politest riot I ever saw.  I have lived in NYC for much of my life and as such I have seen protests galore. I don’t think I ever saw one where riot police were present and people were saying “please” and “thank you”.

I certainly hope the police checked out these two, especially the one on the right. I bet that is no collapsing lawn chair, looks like it could be a surface to air rocket launcher!

Mother of attacked Jindal staffer says attacks were politically motivated

Last week we learned about one of Governor Bobby Jindal’s staff and her boyfriend were attacked after leaving a restaurant on the last day of SRLC. At the time a rumor developed that they were attacked because they were wearing Palin pins. The rumor turned out to be false, but the impression that the attacks were politically motivated remained.

Today the mother of that staffer says that anti-SRLC protesters were the perpetrators.
Human Events: The mother of one of the victims of a brutal beating in New Orleans outside of a Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) event has confirmed in a new interview that the two victims assaulted outside of the high-dollar GOP fundraiser believe their attackers were part of the crowd of protesters outside the event.
The assailants were described as five Caucasian males, the main assailant looking “dirty” (but not homeless), with dark red ponytail and a beard.
During her first interview with Fox News (reported and transcribed in full on HUMAN EVENTS) Bautsch’s mother, Della Berning, confirmed reports of the political nature of the attacks but was reluctant to discuss that aspect of the assault.
In her latest interview with Yahoo News (via The Hayride, h/t Pat Dollard) Berning went a bit further, saying her daughter Bautsch and her daughter’s boyfriend, Brown, believe the attackers were a group of political protesters who followed them after they left the GOP event.
And they are not alone. [MORE]
The Tennessee Conservative has a bunch of photos of the protesters. He even has a photo that could be the dirty looking ponytail guy.

As Bill Clinton talks out his behind about Tea Party rhetoric possibly inciting violence, he really should be talking to his own people on his side of the fence. Look at this sign from the anti-SRLC protest.  You don’t see stuff that explicit at any of the Tea Parties.

Jindal staffer and boyfriend beaten after fundraiser during SRLC

This was a blowing up into a huge story earlier today on Memeorandum. It was mostly fueled by the rumor that the Jindal staffer and her boyfriend were wearing Palin pins. By this evening, after the blogosphere calmed down, here is what we know.
Michelle Malkin: This much is clear: Bautsch and her boyfriend were seriously beaten and injured after leaving a fund-raising event held during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune said they were involved in an alteractionwith a “group of people” on Friday night.
Louisiana blog The Hayride has tracked all the developments since the incident took place and notes that the SRLC had attracted large groups of anarchists and other liberal grievance-mongers to protest the GOP gathering.

It is currently unknown if anyone from the liberal protest is to blame for the beatings. It is also known that Bautsch and her boyfriend were not wearing Palin pins.

So as things stand now the cause of this incident is still unknown. It could be another violent New Orleans crime or it could be liberal hate in action. Should it be the latter, conservatives should not hold back shoving this into the left’s face given their collective push to blame all hate on the right.

Video: Harry Reid supporters throwing eggs at Tea Party bus

Here is the video of Andrew Breitbart among the Harry Reid supporters while they were throwing eggs at the Tea Party bus (from The Founding Bloggers).  Check out the dude who wants Breitbart to leave, such a friendly chap!  Perhaps he is the guy in charge of hospitality at the hospitality tent.

Eric Cantor receives death threats from Philly man Norman LeBoon

In an affidavit released today, total loon Norman LeBoon has been arrested for making death threats to Congressman Eric Cantor and his family. LeBoon made the threats via a video uploaded to YouTube.
Talking Points Memo: PHILADELPHIA - Today, a two-count complaint and warrant was filed charging Norman Leboon with threatening to kill United States Congressman Eric Cantor and his family, and threatening to kill Congressman Eric Cantor, who is an official of the United States, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy and FBI Special Agent in Charge Jan Fedarcyk. As set forth in the affidavit to the complaint and warrant, in or about late March, 2010, Leboon created and then transmitted a YouTube video to Google over the internet, in which he threatened to kill Congressman Cantor and his family. No harm came to the Congressman or his family as a result of Leboon's threats. [copy of affidavit here]
LeBoon a 33-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA has fancies himself as some sort of messiah and has made death threats before. In the video below (h/t Michelle Malkin) we see LeBoon making threats to the folks at YouTube for taking down one of his videos.

You can view more of LeBoon nutty videos at his YouTube channel. As you can see from the video LeBoon apparently considers himself a Muslim. Will the media mention this fact the way they make note about the Christian Militia group Hutaree? Somehow I doubt it especially when it has been discoved that LeBoon gave two dontations to the Obama campaign back in 2008. Jamie Wearing Fool has the full story on the donations. The DNC said it would give any LeBoon donations it finds to charity.

LeBoon is the perfect reason why the media is play such a dangerous game hyping these stories about threats towards the Democrats. There are really crazy people out there both on the left and the right who cannot separate the politics. It is these nutcases that will act on all these stories coming out. Clearly the media’s attempt to smear the Tea Parties is not having the desired effect. Instead it seems to be stirring up the crazy farm.

Leftwinger nutcase calls for Palin and her family’s assassination on Twitter

While the left calls for Republicans to condemn violent acts and threats against Democrats, the left seems to be the ones making very real death threats.

Check out these very explicit tweets found by Patterico’s Pontifications.

These screen shots are only a sample of what this wacko tweeted, Patterico has much more. This leftwing nutjob is a fan of both Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.  I know watching MSNBC rots your brain, but this guy is beyond the pale.

I certainly hope the FBI is onto this nutcase because when it comes to Sarah Palin, the left have a very unreal and unexplainable hatred for the woman. They way they carry on you would swear she ate all their children or something.  How much do you want to bet, the media completely ignores this story?

Victimizers turned victims

Ever since the passage of ObamaCare last Sunday, the media has been focusing in on stories about threats made towards Congress members, Democrat Congress members to be exact

We have seen stories of broken windows at local DNC offices, racial slurs hurled at CBC members, threatening emails and voicemail and so on. The media tries to make the point that these acts of violence are coming from the Tea Party movement. The media also wants us to believe that this type of stuff is a recent phenomenon.

I just don’t see it that way. I see the focus of threats and violence against Democrats as the media’s attempt to help Democrats change their image from victimizers to victims. For the entire 13 months of the health care debate, Democrats have victimized Americans who stood in opposition to the bill. The Tea Parties that sprang up were immediately smeared, ridiculed and ignored. Democrats did everything in their power to dismiss angry constituents at the town hall meetings. The Democrats continued their heavy handedness in Congress by stretching the rules, holding late night votes, crafted legislation behind close doors and wasted our scarce tax dollars to buy off votes within their own caucus.  All this for a bill the majority of Americans never supported.

Now that the Democrats have the dream legislation they always wanted, they realized they achieved it at the price of damaging their brand and a high level of public dislike for the bill. Rather than find some way to calm or make amends with the public, Democrats have fallen back on their old tradition of victimhood. In this case, they want to play the victim.

By painting themselves as victims of alleged Tea Party violence, Democrats feel they can rally their base and shift public attention away from their past behavior. This is a dangerous and irresponsible tactic, especially when segments of the public are feeling like they were railroaded and their voices completely ignored.

We must all condemn the use of threats and violence against any member of Congress and it should be denounced whenever it really occurs. However, we should not allow the threats and violence to stop us for holding Democrats accountable.  It was the Democrats’ reckless and irresponsible pursuit to pass this bill that has brought about the current climate of anger and it is their continued reckless and irresponsible behavior that is feeding it now.   Vote them out; they are not worthy to be our representatives.
