Video: Media ignoring Socialist revolution at Chicago Anti-War rally

Breitbart TV: Chicago media reported on a recent march in Chicago as being an "Anti-War" march organized by students and "faith based groups" who "hope to spark change in our democracy." What they left out was the clear fact that the march and rally had much less to do with the Iraq war than it did about a far-left socialist agenda. Citizen journalist "Rebel Pundit" provides the information the media chose not to tell their viewers.
Meanwhile, one moron brings a stupid "witch doctor" sign to a Tea Party rally and we have a week's worth of stories about the '"racism in the Tea Party."
Nothing too surprising here for us on the right. At left wing rally after left wing rally, international socialist and communist groups and have been coming out of the woodwork. However, videos like this may prove helpful to some of our friends on the left.

This weekend two of my dearest lefty friends stayed over.  Inevitably, we got to talking about politics and the subject of socialists high jacking the Democratic Party came up.  I showed them video after video of socialists at all kinds of left wing rallies, from pro-illegal immigration rallies in Arizona to pro-union rallies in Wisconsin and even the anti-cuts rallies in the UK. While my left wing friends did not concede that I was right, the look on their faces told me all I needed to know.  They felt snookered.

The lesson here is to save these videos, make a nice library of them and pass them on to any old school liberal friend you may know. It might just be the eye opener they need.

The Calm Before The Storm? WI Capitol building almost empty

What a difference a day makes. Last night the Wisconsin State Capitol looked like this:

This morning we hear that there are only a few dozen protesters left.
Journal Sentinel: Madison - After a wild and raucous night at the State Capitol, the scene inside the building Thursday morning looks just like it was a few weeks ago when protesters camped out overnight.
At 6:30 a.m., there were dozens of people who stayed the night and were camped out in various locations in the building.
Of particular concern to police are a few dozen protesters who spent the night in the antechamber of the Assembly. The Assembly is scheduled to go into session at 11 a.m. Thursday to consider the bill on collective bargaining that the Senate approved last night in mere minutes.
A number of protesters said they had no intention of leaving the area Thursday.[...]
Outside the Capitol, the scene looks just like any other normal business day. The driver of one car was slowly driving around the Capitol Square, honking. But his horn and the sound of buses running routes were the only sounds outside.
Did they all go home to get a good night's rest so they can return to raise some hell today or is that they realize the jig is up?

I would have thought that the protesters would have done all that they can to block the Assembly from voting today. Once the Assembly votes, the only thing left is Walker's signature and we all know he is going to sign it.

We will see if things remain quiet as the Assembly vote nears.

It's Time to Take Out the Trash Day - Mission already accomplished?

In case you have not already heard, some Wisconsin TEA Parties started a Facebook page to create a flash mob that would descend on the Capitol to clean up after the protesters.

The clean up is to start today at 1:00 PM.  However, it appears after the Facebook page went viral, clean up has already begun.
Facebook:**UPDATE**Our event hasn’t even started and the goal is already being achieved. I went to the square with my wife and another friend. My friend tells me the grounds as of 11:00 PM Friday night were effectively trashed; garbage strewn everywhere. Tonight is another story.
I’m pleased to report the protesters were able to make effective use of their manpower. The grounds are mostly respectable. Yes, we did find some trash, but not to the degree that would warrant a battalion wide police call.
The feeder streets to the square are a different story. They were far less kempt. It’s clear the massive influx of people has taken its toll. I will start on East Washington Avenue and work my way around clockwise on the first block of each feeder street leading to the capitol square.
I am still going.

It's not about partisanship or protests, but pride.

It is time to take out the trash... literally. In true Flash Mob fashion, on Sunday at exactly 1300 hours (1:00 pm for you non-military types) we will do an extensive police call (pick up the trash) around the capitol square. Regardless of the state the grounds are in, we will do this as both a literal and symbolic way to show our respect for our home.
TEA Partiers know how this is done. It is time to show OUR pride for OUR state OUR way and be the example.
Even if you cannot attend, please share this and invite all of your sane friends who share our love of Wisconsin.

No signs, no screaming, just a necessary cleaning.

I glad to see the Capitol did get cleaned up, whoever did it.  We can all have our free speech without being pigs about it.

Protesters cause $7.5 million in damages to marble in WI's Capitol

Journal Sentinel: Madison - State officials said Thursday that damage to the marble inside and out the State Capitol would cost an estimated $7.5 million.
Cari Anne Renlund, chief legal counsel for the state Department of Administration, said in Dane County court that estimates of damage to marble includes $6 million to repair damaged marble inside the Capitol, $1 million for damage outside and $500,000 for costs to supervise the damage.
Much of the damage apparently has come from tape used to put up signs and placards at the Capitol.
It was not immediately clear how the estimates were made, though the state is apparently relying on opinions by historical architects, one of whom works for the U.S. Park Service.
One concern is the residue from tape that the state says is causing damage to stone and other surfaces inside the Capitol.
No one should really be surprise.  Many of the lefty protesters are rude disrespectful slobs.  I am not just saying this like some elitist conservative. Time and time again we have seen video and pictures of their rude behavior, inconsiderate actions and thoughtless littering from various protest.
Remember how the lefties left the mall after Obama's inaugural?

Or the mess they left after the One Nation rally?

Or how about how they treated the Veterans Memorial in the WI Capitol?
Why do they do this you ask?  It is because they simply do not believe in any of the institutions unless those institutions serve their purpose.  Consider it the end result of living your live by "the ends justify the means".
Update: Left Coast Rebel has a similar take, check it out here.

And you are protesting because...?

The Blaze: When the protests in Wisconsin first began, we showed you video of students admitting their teachers were bringing them to the Capitol and saying they had no idea what they were protesting. At the time, some defended the video by saying we can’t really rely on the statements of children.
But now, equally damning video has surfaced of adult protesters not being able to describe the effects of Gov. Walker’s emergency budget bill, many appearing clueless about what is in the legislation and making off-the-wall statements.

I think a lot of these guys are just professional protesters.  They come out make a lot of noise  just for the sake of something to do.  The left are masters of Astroturfing, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if more than half of the protesters don't even come from Wisconsin.

Video: Wisconsin GOP Senator Glenn Grothman chased and cornered by union mob

The video pretty much speaks for itself, so I will only add a few quick observations:

  1. I cannot help but to compare and contrast the TEA Party protest from last year to these union protest.  Especially the day the Democrats forced through ObamaCare.  Remember how Nancy and her gang strolled through the streets?  Sure people shouted, but no one mobbed them.
  2. The other thing that immediately catches my eye is the hive mentality. One person shouts "shame" and they all shout "shame".  One person shouts "peace" and they all shout "peace".  I would hate to see what would happen if someone said "kill him"!
  3. Finally, this crowd doesn't strike me as teachers or other public service employees.  They don't even seem like union workers.  They mostly look like the young slackers you find at every leftwing protest. I would love to know just how many real Wisconsinites are at these protest.
The photographer who capture this video has some amazing still shots from the protest, you can find them here.

Video: Union protester foams at the mouth (literally)

I had no idea Chris Matthews had a brother.
Breitbart TV: Chicago played host to a union thug rally with plenty of lefty kooks screaming about the white-supremacist GOP.

Could someone please give this guy a napkin!

Ho Hum: National Union Protests Not So Impressive

MoveOn.org and labor unions staged national protest today.  They were successful at putting quite a few boots on the ground in Madison, WI, but elsewhere, eh.
Legal Insurrection: Protests in support of Wisconsin public sector unions were organized by MoveOn.org and labor unions today.
Promoters, such as David Dayen at Firedoglake, were predicting a million-person turnout nationwide.  But reports as of 7:00 E.S.T. today make clear that other than in Madison, Wisconsin, the crowds were sparse.
The turnout in Madison was sizable, with estimates ranging from 50-70,000, which included protesters bused in from other states.  (Dayen is trying to pump the crowd estimate to over 100,000.) But elsewhere, the crowds numbered only in the hundreds or low thousands.
In Washington, D.C., only about 500 people showed up (go to link for good photos of crazy signs). (Note, WaPo says 1000.)
In Columbus, OH, where you would expect a big crowd given a similar controversy, only "several thousand" people protested.
Other head counts, based on news reports, include: Boston (1000), Portsmouth, N.H. (few hundred), Augusta, ME (small crowd), New York City ("several thousand"), Chicago (1000), Miami (100), Austin (several hundred), Chicago (1000); Lansing, MI (2000), Nashville (hundreds), Los Angeles (2000), Richmond, VA (300), Denver (1000); Frankfurt, KY (several hundred), Jefferson City, MO (several hundred), Harrisburg, PA (several hundred).
While I don't have a complete count, based on these numbers from some major cities and labor states, total protesters nationwide (excluding Madison) likely totaled under 100,000 combined. [MORE]
I am not surprised that the numbers failed to materialize. The reason why the left has trouble getting people to come out is because the left is comprised of grievance groups. There are minority groups, women's groups, gay groups, unions etc.  Each group has their own grievance and it is hard to get them fired up over someone else's grievance (in this case unions). Despite the left's best efforts to paint union's grievances as the middle classes' grievances, it simply isn't true and everyone knows it.

The TEA Parties on the other hand have an over arching theme of reigning in government.  Under that theme, you will find all sorts of other conservative groups, neocons, social conservative, pro-lifers, etc.

Unfortunately for the left, the over arching theme for all of their grievance groups would be "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" and that would be absolutely unsightly to display in public.

Below are some pictures from the protests in North Carolina sent to me by one of my readers.  They include both the pro-union protesters and the TEA Party protesters (click to enlarge).

Is There A Doctor In The House? Fake doctors' notes given out to union workers at Wisconsin rally

Maclver Institute: [Madison, WI] As tens of thousands of public employees skipped work this week to attend protest rallies outside the Wisconsin State Capitol, many wondered if they would face any disciplinary action for unexcused absences.
On Saturday, a group of men and women in lab coats purporting to be doctors were handing out medical excuse notes, without examining the ‘patients.’
“I asked this doctor what he was doing and he told me they were handing out excuses to people who were feeling sick due to emotional, mental or financial distress,” said Christian Hartsock. “They never performed an exam–he asked me how I was feeling today and I said I’m from California and I’m not used to the cold, so he handed me a note.” [MORE]
I cannot help but wonder if this gal got herself a doctors' note?  I have a strong feeling she was one of the first in line.

So much of these lefty protests are just straight up Astroturf.  Even the excuses for their absence are fake.  The left is already discrediting this story because they figured out that the guy who shot the video has done other sting videos.  I think the left would have a stronger case if they could prove the doctors were fake rather than trying to discredit the messenger. After all the doctor's name and license number are right there on the slip.

VIDEO: Herman Cain at TEA Party Rally in Wisconsin

Herman is fired up!  I think his opening statement pretty much puts things in perspective.  Union employees are not the majority of workers and it is the majority of workers, who pay the bills, that are saying enough is enough with the lavish benefits.  Cain really has this crowd going.  Exposure at this event will no doubt help raise his profile for the primaries.

Wisconsin protest, Obama joins the fray

Washington Post: MADISON, WIS. - President Obama thrust himself and his political operation this week into Wisconsin's broiling budget battle, mobilizing opposition Thursday to a Republican bill that would curb public-worker benefits and planning similar protests in other state capitals.
Obama accused Scott Walker, the state's new Republican governor, of unleashing an "assault" on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would change future collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers.
The president's political machine worked in close coordination Thursday with state and national union officials to get thousands of protesters to gather in Madison and to plan similar demonstrations in other state capitals.[...]
"Some of what I've heard coming out of Wisconsin, where they're just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain generally, seems like more of an assault on unions," Obama told a Milwaukee television reporter on Thursday, taking the unusual step of inviting a local TV station into the White House for a sit-down interview. "I think everybody's got to make some adjustments, but I think it's also important to recognize that public employees make enormous contributions to our states and our citizens." [MORE]

This is more of Obama exporting the Fed's fiscal irresponsibility to the states.  States are in a major bind with pensions and Obama backing greedy union demands is not helping.  Obama is more concerned with keeping union strength to help him in 2012, than in helping states balance their budgets.

Obama must be fully aware that weighing in on this debate is only adding fuel to the fire.  Wisconsin and other states have their backs against the financial wall and have little choice but to curtail union's demands.  Obama egging on the unions is only adding to the mayhem.

Video: Progressive racists call for Clarence Thomas' lynching

Big Government: I recently took a two-day trip down to Palm Springs to attend an event called “Uncloaking the Kochs”hosted by Common Cause. Accompanied by my dear friend, former assembly candidate Alvaro Day, I traveled as an independent investigative journalist, and not in any official capacity on behalf of Big Government or Breitbart.com [...]
Among Common Cause’s, well, common causes, are campaign finance reform, net neutrality, outlawing the filibuster, promoting cap and trade, and in this particular case, herding a mass of protesters outside a nearby hotel to yell at Charles and David Koch for being conservative and rich.
We were then ushered outside to the parking lot across from the hotel in which the Koch brothers were holding a meeting, whereupon we were encouraged to yell at the building, decrying not only the Kochs, but Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia for their Citizens United ruling. Oh, and Fox News while we were at it.
We were joined by at least half a dozen busloads of public sector union members and common demonstrators from AFFCE, The Ruckus Society, 350, Greenpeace, Code Pink, and the Progressive Democrats of America, among others, without whose valuable contributions to the yelling, the rally would’ve been just a lousy bust. Video camera in hand, I purposely engaged them to get beyond their programmed talking points, only to find some rather colorful agenda items – particularly for Justice Thomas.[MORE]
Last month when the left collectively wet the bed calling for "civility", the first thing that came to my mind was to give these hypocrites the finger!  It never ceases to amaze me how the left blathers endlessly about "hate" from the right all the while saying some of the most hateful things.  Do they even hear themselves?

Now if these were Tea Partiers talking about Obama, there would be no end to the left calling for the leaders to denounce the attendees and pulling their hair out about racism.  However, since the black in question is a conservative, these "progressives" let their primal racism fly.  The only reason why these white progressives feel comfortable expressing their racism is because they know black liberals will never hold them to the same standards set for conservatives.

Immigration Rally in NYC

The blog Berman Post covered the immigration rally in New York City. He has extensive coverage and found a plethora of socialists, communists and unions. Plus some signs that if they were at a Tea Party would no doubt have been featured on all the major news outlets.

Santa Cruz May Day protest turn violent

Again and again the media wants us to believe that it is the Tea Parties that are actually violent. Meanwhile, we repeated see evidence that the truly violent protest come from the left. To date there have been nothing even close to this at a Tea Party rally.

Mercury News: SANTA CRUZ - A large group of protesters demonstrating at a May Day rally for worker's and immigrant rights downtown broke off into a riot vandalizing about a dozen businesses around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Many in the group were carrying makeshift torches as they marched, breaking storefront windows and writing "anarchist graffiti" on buildings, according to Capt. Steve Clark. Many businesses sustained multiple broken windows including very large storefront windows at Urban Outfitters and The Rittenhouse building. Police believe at least 15 businesses suffered damage.
The violence was initiated from a group holding a rally at the town clock for May Day. Windows at Jamba Juice and Velvet Underground were left shattered and graffiti including anarchy signs were tagged onto buildings.
Because of the size and violent demeanor of the crowd, Santa Cruz police asked for help from all agencies in the county to break up the riot. At one point, protesters lit a fire on the porch of Caffe Pergolesi and blocked access to firefighters, officers said. Police were able to clear out the demonstrators before more damage was caused.
A large rock sat outside Verizon Wireless on the 100 block of Cooper Street, where vandals tried to break the window twice, according to Clark.
"The damage that was caused was without purpose," Clark said. "It was senseless violence that victimized a community who cannot afford to be victimized in this manner. This did nothing to add credit to whatever they believed their cause was." [MORE]

Here is some video of the protesters via Gateway Pundit

Look at those torches! If a Tea Partier has a sign that says "torches" or "pitchforks", the media is wetting the bed about “violence”, yet here are some crazy lefties running through the streets with real torches and not a peep.

I have said it before and I will say it again, after the 2010 elections the Tea Parties need to turn their attention to the MSM. We simply cannot afford to have the media be this bias come 2012.

EPIC FAIL: Eugene Oregon Anti Palin Protest

Other than this picture providing yet another example of classic liberal hypocrisy, why is this story even news?  It seems to me that from the size of the crowd at the event vs. the number of protesters outside, this protest was an Epic Fail.
Oregonian: [...] "When the other party's wrong, we stiffen our spines," Palin told about 900 people who attended a fundraising dinner for the Lane County Republican Party. "Why not be the party of not just no, but hell no," she shouted.
Palin's visit to what is considered Oregon's most liberal city attracted dozens of protesters who waved signs and taunted the mostly well-dressed crowd entering the Eugene Hilton, where the event was held.

So more people in Oregon’s most liberal city were willing to pluck down good money to hear Palin than were willing to come out and protest her. That isn't what I would call a very successful protest.

Left Coast Rebel has more background information on the protest organizers.

March 16, 2010: The People’s Surge Against ObamaCare 2.0

Freedom Works is organizing a massive rally on Washington to let Obama and his band of Constitutional Butchers know that we do not want ObamaCare!  If ever there was a time to march on DC, this is it. Obama, Nancy and the rest of the Democratic leadership is exerting maximum pressure on House Democrats to jump off the cliff and vote for this monstrosity. We need to exert the same amount of pressure and let them those Democrats know that when we say NO ObamaCare, we mean NO ObamaCare!

Dan Riehl lays out what is at stake:
[...]The Left’s political arguments must be confronted forcefully, even outrageously at times if that’s what it takes to get through. Think of it in terms of what Andrew Breitbart is doing in the world of media activism today.
He is calling them out, confronting them, exposing them for what they are and what they believe. And when you prick them like that, theydo bleed. Figuratively speaking, if we don’t make them bleed, we will lose. We have been playing politely for decades now. And America has only continued its slide to the Left. And in the face of a pending vote on Obama Care, there is no more room left to give.
I’m not advocating violence. But I am advocating confrontation. Otherwise, most especially now, this one in the White House and his Congressional colleagues seem content to ignore you – to shine you on and you will get only what they choose to give you in the end. That is not the lot of the free man, or woman. It is the lot of the slave, the serf, if you prefer.
That’s why you have to try as best you can to be in DC on March 16th. It’s time to prick, poke, and prod them and make their house of cards cave in. If you don’t do it, now, don’t expect your children, or your grandchildren to do it. If, or when, it becomes their turn on your behalf, when they’re getting ready to pull the plug on you because, well, you’ve lived long enough, they’ll go along, just as you might now. Without our example, future generations of Americans will have no example to follow, let alone believe in.
Show up and be heard, or be herded. There are no other choices. This is the time. And if you don’t speak out, it may well be the last. They have blatantly admitted this is but a first step. What in God’s name does it take for some of you people to get mad? If the last few months haven’t been enough, then your freedom may already be lost. In that case, it’s still your duty to stir yourself to action and begin to take it back on March 16th. Waiting for someone else to do it for you will only assure you of freedom lost. And that is not and has never been the America and the American people I’ve come to know.
Let’s all try to be there! Here are the details:

Time: March 16, 2010 from 9am to 6pm
Street: Independence Avenue SE and New Jersey SE
City/Town: Washington, DC
Phone: 202-942-7616
