Nancy Pelosi has her foot firmly planted on the accelerator to pass ObamaCare. Despite the Slaughter Solution being every bit as toxic as reconciliation Nancy says she “likes it”.
From the Washington Post: After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate's health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it.
Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers "deem" the health-care bill to be passed.
The tactic -- known as a "self-executing rule" or a "deem and pass" -- has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.
"It's more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know," the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. "But I like it," she said, "because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill."
You would think that with House Reps being unable to simply vote up or down on the Senate bill, Nancy would take that reason to abandon ObamaCare. Instead, she chooses to press on with this legislative parlor trick.
Whatever the driving force is behind this push for ObamaCare, it isn’t simple politics and it certainly isn’t for the benefit of the people.

This woman has absolutely no scruples whatsoever. This "deem and pass" might be legal, but it stinks, as far as I'm concerned.
Think too much botox or whatever.......she embarrasses me. Over and over.
And as I mentioned to a friend...I deem myself princess for the day with a...palace, motorcade, footmen, ladies in waiting...and all the other princess trappings!!!
Don't kid yourself people, this isn't about health care, it's about taking over another part of the private section, power and control over it's citizens. We have a real problem now with our leaders in DC.

Actually there is good reason to believe that it is NOT legal. Many lawyers are leery about it standing up to SCOTUS scrutiny.

The Democrats could not have asked for a worse face to represent them. Is it just me or is she becoming the spitting image of Cruella DeVille by the day?

Oh we know this bill is about control. It does not serve the people in any way shape or form. This bill is designed for government to control our lives on a microscopic level. That is the main reason it must die.
