This must be absolutely devastating to the Polish people, especially since President Kaczynski was traveling to commemorate the Katyn Forrest Massacre. Now the Polish people must endure a double tragedy on this date. God help them.
New York Times: WARSAW — A plane carrying the Polish president and dozens of the country’s top political and military leaders to the site of the Soviet massacre of Polish officers in World War II crashed in western Russia on Saturday, killing everyone on board.
President Lech Kaczynski’s plane tried to land in a thick fog, missing the runway and snagging treetops about half a mile from the airport in Smolensk, scattering chunks of flaming fuselage across a bare forest.
The crash came as a stunning blow to Poland, wiping out a large portion of the country’s leadership in one fiery explosion. Right now it seems there is some conflict about the cause. Legal Insurrection points to a weather related incident and Theblogprof points to pilot error (with KGB undertones). Let’s hope for the weather cause, the other option is just too messy to consider.

This is very tragic. God be with Poland and the people of Poland. I am more inclined to think and am hoping that this tragedy was caused due to weather instead of the KGB's involvement.
This is truly a terrible event for the Poles. Our thoughts and prayers should go to them in this time.

I really hope it was just misfortune. Unfortunately, I think that Russia sees a terribly weak POTUS and would have no problem with such an act. I don't know geo-politically how much of a threat Poland is to Russia vs Georgia to Russia, but even if Russia was just trying to send a message to Georgia, I would be concerned.
I don't think this will end well.
For Poland, this is their 9/11. It might not be caused by outside forces, but the effects will be felt. Poland is our ally or was before BHO. Nice job, POTUS. You have already ripped the rug out from under Poland ...lets see how you respond and follow through now.

This was not just an ordinary plane crash. I would not blame Russia for making the plane go down. Instead look at the mossad/Israel and the Marxist Robin Hood in the white house.
