Today Maureen Dowd joined the ranks of the Raaaaacism Industrial Complex with a stunning piece of manufactured racism in her recent column.
Check this out:
The normally nonchalant Barack Obama looked nonplussed, as Nancy Pelosi glowered behind.
Surrounded by middle-aged white guys — a sepia snapshot of the days when such pols ran Washington like their own men’s club — Joe Wilson yelled “You lie!” at a president who didn’t.
But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!
I find it pretty damn amazing that a white limousine liberal like Dowd, who resides in a white liberal enclave where the majority of black residents tend to be live in help, is capable of hearing a racist slur where no one else did. These charges of manufactured racism being put forth by over zealous Obama defenders, is rapidly approaching a point where if someone finds Obama’s choice of necktie lacking, they could be construed as a fashionista racist.
Memo to Dowd: There is enough real racism in the world as it is; you are not helping anyone by making shit up!

amen to your memo!!
Maureen Dowd, postmodern deconstructionist.
She knows us better than we ourselves do.
Maureen, you go, girl! No, I mean go (away)! And, yes, I did say 'girl.'
it is amazing how quickly liberals, particularly white liberals, are quick to cry racism to any white conservative that disagrees with Barack Obama.
Are these fools so stupid they cannot see that the more they scream it from the rooftops where it does NOT exist, they only destroy the legitimacy of those cases where it does?
It's almost like they're deliberately trying to destroy that dream of Dr. King's that many of us - REGARDLESS of color - hold onto.
Maureen Dowdy is an unscrupulous liar. The left is a large collective of the boy who cried wolf once too often.
I, on the other hand, am finely attuned to unspoken thoughts and meanings. And when I read Dowd's words, I could see her clear meaning, though unspoken:
"I'm a Commie and I hate America!"
Excellent piece, Clifton.
I posted today on another of our fine NY media types - Geraldo Rivera - who got schooled by Ann Coulter on his show last night as he tried to create the same racist inference.
namste:
I wish she and much of the left would read it.
Track A 'Crat:
Maureen Dowd did put words in his mouth while playing PC thought patrol. Feel free to use Raaaaacism Industrial Complex.
Steve Burri:
That is the whole thing behind so much of this leftist nonsense, they think they know better!
I personally would have called Dowd "sweetie" rather than girl. I find it the perfect term for silly women pretending to be serious women of thought.
dickster1961:
Crying racism is starting to become the only defense for Obama's nutty policies and programs.
Angie Lee:
Exactly, it is the boy who cried wolf scenario. You can already see people starting to mock being called racist. If the left keeps it up, the next time a serious case of racism rears its ugly head, everyone is just going to go YAWN!
Stogie:
So very true. She is just playing to her base, because no one else takes her seriously anymore.
Soloman:
Geraldo clearly has a liberal mindset. He does that race thing every time anyone mentions illegal aliens.
The really galling thing is that MoDo actually said "fair or not" and even said that the word was "unspoken". Good Lord - this lady has issues.
El Cerdo Ignatius
What I find even more galling is how some many people treat what she said like it as proven fact. MoDo racially profiled Wilson because he is white, southern and conservative ergo he is a racist.
she wishes she had actually heard "boy" at the end of that statement. after all, joe wilson is from south carolina, isn't he? everybody knows anyone from the south is automatically racist. maybe if he were from north carolina, she would feel differently.
the left is just dyingfor some good ol'fashioned racism, you know, the good kind: firehoses, actual lynchings, separate waterfountains. then they could feel good about feeling sorry for those poor black people. maybe they could march, carry some signs. it would be so exciting. instead, they have to accept people as individuals and treat them as equals with lives and concerns very much like their own, day in, day out. How boring, how mundane.
Would love to know your thoughts on NBC's interview with Jimmy Carter, as seen on this evening's nightly news: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#3286710. I don't know why I'm surprised - it's NBC and Carter- but as someone who attended Saturday's protest I saw nothing racial or violent. And then there's are those in the south that will never catch a break. How do we stop going backwards here??
The Dinner Doula:
I saw some of this, more Raaaaacism Industrial Complex. I am actually going to do a post on this and Rep Hank Johnson.
Michelle:

Bingo! It would be the perfect thing to get people's mind off Obama's current failings.
Maurenn the term is getting old! Oh, by the way, your R' ace card is showing.
