What we have always suspected is clearly true. Obama and the Democrats plans to reform health care are simply to change the nation over to a single payer system. What is surprising is that both Paul Krugman and Ezra Klein are both fully in on the deception. They know damn well that all this legislation is simply to bring about single payer health care and not fix current problems in the system yet they are very coy about it in their public writings.

Paul Krugman supporting big government, monetary intervention? I'm stunned.
The problem with Krugman and his ilk is that they either dismiss the Austrian School out of hand without any factual evidence or completely misrepresent it, while Austrians like Hayek, Rothbard, Hazlit and von Mises are able to refute Keynesian theory point by point.

Quite frankly I don't understand why anyone clings to Keynesian economics. It have been proven false both theoretically and practically.
Bruce Bartlett, who did alot of analytical work to validate supply side economics under Jack Kemp, is now embracing Keynesianism. He's written a book about it (which I haven't read), but I have read a couple of his articles in the NYT and WSJ. He also recently published this breif article on the web summarizing it. It's really quite astonishing to me that he is abandoning supply side principles, but he does make a pretty good case for it. -- SCOTT
