Back in June, Politico had asked Newt how to deal with “conservative purists”. Newt’s answer was "You shrug them off."
Well I guess you could say Newt is being a man of his word. He is endorsing Dede Scozzafava, who Michelle Malkin describes as an ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, tax-and-spend radical Republican.
The GOP is clearly banking on people electing their crummy candidates just to get away from the crummier Democrats currently infesting Washington. This is where conservatives must give the GOP a very hard bitch slap and reject their awful RINO candidates in every primary.
If we want people who will truly represent us, then we have to support our own kind. In the very New York race for the seat that Scozzafava is running for a true conservative is running too. Doug Hoffman is running as well. Hoffman is actually starting to come on strong. Visit his site and give some support. Defeating these awful RINOs in the primaries is a must!

Malkin mis-spelled "Democrat".
Scuzzafava is an ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, tax-and-spend radical RINO Democrat.
Have to work on my home state, Fl, in supporting Marco Rubio against Charlie, we hardly knew ye, Crist.
As far as I'm concerned, Newt Gingrich can retire and never be heard from again. He's toast. Rino Toast!

Gingrich did damage thwt is uniquely dreadful.
He and he others crafters of the "Contact with America" succeeded in convincing a lot of burned-out citizens that they (the citizens) could in fact make a difference, could in fact stop the inevitable slide into disaster.
It took some of us a long time to realize that we had signed up with a "Contract ON America".
I fear that we will never again be able to muster that kind of support for our side.
Good to see the base awakening and forcing the GOP elite to take notice.
The liberalizaion of the GOP can only be stopped with people who start EARLY putting them aside.
GOd bless you folks
The GOP leadership really believes running as Democrap-lite is a winning strategy?
I read a good article on a true conservative blog earlier this week (this one) titled: "Tea Partiers Set To Go Rogue on GOP's RINO Candidates".
Id' rather throw my vote away on a Libertarian than many of these RINOs. At least I partially identify with some of their principles so I'd be voting my conscience even if the Libertarian candidates aren't generally electable.

I sometimes think they feel a little stuck. It is very hard for the party to support an independent over the republican candidate; even if the independent is the better of the two.
We have to put pressure on Steele to stop funding candidates that are not true fiscal conservatives.
What are they going to do with Kirk in IL? He voted for Cap and Tax and is now giving up his house seat to run for the senate to fill Burris' seat. The party should not support this man. I started a letter writing campaign. I have a friend who works at the RNCC and she told me that they got 200 letters. Not enough to make a difference. We need to organize and force them to cut off much needed re-election funds. It only happen if we have a large enough number.
I linked to this post at my blog, Bent Notes. Is there something I need to do to get that to show up in your Trackbacks?
BTW, your blog is now a frequent stop-by. You are invited to likewise have a look around BN.

I agree with JACG. The GOP must be encouraged to back conservative candidates. I, like Janelle, am backing Rubio over RINO Crist.
Conservative Lady, I do believe the message is getting out to the GOP. There are rumors that Mr. Crist may be dropping out.
