Über RINO Dede Scozzafava has quit the race for the NY-23 congressional seat. She quit after the release of the Siena College poll this morning. Stacy McCain is reporting that Scozzafava will give her support to Doug Hoffman.
The Siena College poll follows what the previous polls showed Owens with a one-point lead over Hoffman and Scozzafava behind by double digits. What is not clear now is where will her supporters go. Were her supporters really liberals who did not like Owens or were they Republicans with party loyalty?
Whether Hoffman wins, loses or draws notice has been served to the GOP today. The conservative base has sent a clear message to the GOP, get back to your roots or else. This upset should boost Marco Rubio’s chances against mega RINO Charlie Crist in Florida. Will the GOP heed that message?

Don't you think it is odd that she would drop out three days before the election. It can't be about money. I wonder what the truth is.
I met Marco Rubio a few months back. I was very impressed. He seems like the real deal.
We have had some victories since August. We need to keep up the pressure and make sure that we don't lose our mojo.

I think they see that even swallowing hard (and for some of them, that's mighty hard) they'll take a more Conservative Congress in 2010 to more of the same we've had since 1/07...
There's going to be a LOT of dismantling to do come January, 2011.
