My friend Sam over at The Last Tradition has a must read post. Sam nails the irony of Obama’s demagoguery of Bush over Katrina and now faces his very own Katrina in the BP oil spill. Here is a sample:
The Last Tradition: It was understood by many thanks to a deceitful mainstream media that “Katrina” meant George W. Bush didn’t like Black people, or George Bush was an incompetent boob, or that George Bush lied and people died, and don’t forget those are Black faces you’re watching with tears in their eyes at Super Dome.
It was all a horrible twisting of the truth that Barrack Obama took advantage of without hesitation or apology.
But, was it all George Bush’s fault, really?
Barack Obama and the Democrats didn’t care one way or another.
But then Deep Water Horizon exploded and sank in the Gulf of Mexico and 50 days later, oil is still flowing in the water. But, now it’s Barack Obama sitting in the White House with his own disaster on his hands and he’s catching an attitude because he’s getting criticized by the same media that had it out for Bush.
I have not had time to do a Full Metal Jacket Reach Around in a very long time. Ever since Technorati changed their format, it has become nearly impossible to compile such a post. However, there were a few great reads the last few days that I just have to share.
I have always been a huge fan of No Sheeples Here blog. Carol’s has some mad Photoshop skillz! Well now she has placed all her awesome Photoshoppery in one convenient place. Visit Mako Snark, you won’t be disappointed.
Talk about surprises. This morning when I went to peek in on The Other McCain, found that RSM and Smitty picked up and moved to their new digs at TheOtherMcCain.com!
They are now rocking a new WordPress format and looking pretty cool too. The move looks like it was a smooth as glass, but why wouldn’t be? After all McCain and Smitty are cool like that!
This week's Full Metal Jacket Reach Around (FMJRA) was so dominated by links to Beck's show on Black Conservatives, I thought I might as well just name it that. Once again, sorry I did not get to drop a pearl or two of wisdom, but it was a good show all in all. Let's get this show started.
Linky Love
No surprise that half of all Linky Love came in this week regarding the Beck show. First, since no tragedies are present, I would like to give a shout out to Left Coast Rebel, Carol at No Sheeples Here and Stogie at Saber Point for hooking up that awesome Friday The Thirteenth graphic. Somewhere out there an ad agency is eating their hearts out! You guys rock!
As the old saying goes: "better late than never". That is a perfect description for this week's edition of the FMJRA. So since time is of the essences let us begin.
Happy Halloween! This week’s FMJRA is brought to you by the fright that is Hope and Change. If you are looking for something extra spooky tonight, just check out Nancy’s 2,000-page horror story of socialism called HR 3962! It will make your hair stand on ends!
All kidding aside, despite Technorati’s brain dead update, I was once again able to put together a weekly FMJRA. Apologies upfront for anyone I missed. Just drop me an email and I will be happy to give you some props and show you a little Linky Love.
ABC showed up on a few folks FMJRA this week. No Sheeples Here had a special one featuring Non Presidential Approved stuff and I was happy to make that grade. Fisherville Mike, Reaganite Republican and Keith’s Sports Journal included ABC in their FMJRA. Left Coast Rebel did a FMJRA that included my FMJRA, because like me he ain’t feelin’ the New Techorati either.
Miscellaneous Linky Love came from The Daley Gator who noted Biden’s counter terrorism plans for Afghanistan. Booker Rising also too a look at Obama’s dithering in Afghanistan. Boom Boom Boom hopped into the time machine to quote ABC on the Quantity of Republicans vs. the Quality of Republicans [Boom Boom also loves that picture of Sgt. Crowley helping Skippy Gates down the White House stairs].
I am skipping the Must Reads this week because I plan to blog about the two stories instead. Plus, I am going to give you all my first hand account of the Chris Christie rally I went to last night, I have some pictures too.
Note: Again I am having a busy week in real time. Please hang in there. I promise to make it worth your while by the end of the week when I will have two very BIG announcements.
Technorati? We don’t need no stinking Technorati! Here at Another Black Conservative we can kick it old school and bring you a full FMJRA lowtech style!
As you all know from last week, Technorati decided to do a really lame update and in the process dump their feedback section, thus leaving many of us bloggers with no way of tracking links to our posts.Well with a little good old fashion snooping the Sitemeter and checking each post, I was able to pull together a full FMJRA as always. So bump you Technorati!
So lets pretend we fired up the old PC with a brand new 5.25”. Type a DIR at the A:> prompt and sit back and read all about this week’s Linky Love on our monochromatic screens.
Miscellaneous Linky Love came from The Other McCain who figures out that I am part of the Flemish Menace for showing glee over Marc Lamont Hill getting the axe from Fox. Stop The ACLU gave ABC a spot on the Wednesday Link page for Krugman and Klein’s deceptions. Gates of Vienna links to me while they take David Frum to task too. Thanks goes to The Daily Gator for giving me a spot on his FMJRA. The Opinionator at the NYT quotes my notes on Cheney’s speech. Finally Booker Rising quotes me on the White House – Fox News dust up.
I just want to give a quick explanation as to why I have been so bad about responding to comments lately. In real time, my business has unexpectedly picked up! This extra business comes with some very real deadlines as well. So I kind of had to cut corners or else blog much less. So please put up with me for a few more days and everything will be back to normal.
This week’s FMJRA is coming to you late because our friends over a Technorati have decided to let their Technorati Monster run buck wild and wreck havoc in their redesign. Aside from completely wiping out some bloggers’ authority [and boosting others, The Monster loves Ma Info] Technorati had done the dumbest thing of all. They did away with showing all the blogs that link to your post!
Without that listing Technorati has become as useless to me as Olympia Snow is to conservative causes. So, until another solution for tracking links is found, I ask that if you link one of my post please drop a quick email or leave a comment under that post.
First we have Reaganite Republican writing about what Putin maybe up to. Something we should all follow since Putin is clearly into punking Obama.
Next up The Wisdom of Soloman goes one step further in explaining the ins and outs of Rush’s raw deal on the Rams.
The Keeper of Odd Knowledge digs deep into the rabbits warren of progressive organizations and exposes some interesting links.
Finally My Thought On Freedom points to an interesting meeting in Minnesota where form Thatcher aid warns that Obama may sign away US Sovereignty. Addition materials to fill out this reading can be found here, here, here, here.
As some of you may know Technorati did a major update to their site this week. So major was it that they lost all the links and my Technorati Authority as well. Heck, you cannot even find your page anymore. At any rate, I rely on Technorati heavily to complete the weekly FMJRA.
So if anyone linked me this week, please scoot me an email with the link to your post or leave a comment here with the link. Hopefully Technorati will get their act together by next week.
Early this morning, I too received a call from Oslo Norway informing me that I have won the Nobel Prize for Conservative Blogging. Even though I have only been blogging for a little over 6 months, the Nobel Committee informed me that I had won because of my potential to spread Linky Love throughout the conservative blogosphere.
I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear: I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of Rule #2 on behalf of aspirations held by bloggers in all nations.
To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative bloggers who've been honored by this prize -- men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire conservative blogosphere through their courageous pursuit of a better blog fu.
But I also know that this prize reflects the kind of world that those men and women, and all conservative Americans, want to build -- a world that gives life to the promise of our founding documents. And I know that throughout history, the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it's also been used as a means to give momentum to upstart bloggers like myself. And that is why I will accept this award as a call to action -- a call for all conservative bloggers to confront the common challenges of this farcical administration.
Miscellaneous Linky Love came in from Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion who named ABC as blog of the day on Thursday. New blog An Ol’ Broads Ramblings linked to Beck’s As A Mom post and another new blog My Love Hate Relationship With Politics linked to the Military Coup against Obama. Left Coast Rebel out did himself this week picking up on both ACORN post and giving a special hat tip to ABC in his FMJRA. Carol’s Closet reached back in time to link to Michele Bachman’s statements on the census. Saber Point helped me out in recognizing Mary Baker. Another new blog linking to ABC was The Quipster who linked to Obama staged doctor event. The awesome blog Right Klik picked up on the Baucus bill bait and switch.
Must Reads
Last week I stiffed you guys on the Must Reads, but I did bring them today. This week I have articles that caught my eye and one video.
From RS McCain at The Green Room on Hot Air: Special Report Death In Clay County. This is his report from Kentucky where the murder of census worker Bill Sparkman.
That concludes these weeks FMJRA. I would like to let you in on another achievement in addition to my Nobel Prize. This morning around 3:15 AM EST, ABC received its 40,000th hit since turning on the Sitemeter back in May! Thanks to all of my visitors both new and old. I look forward to sharing with you all until the next Nobel Prize is awarded flippantly. Until next week, think Technorati!
It is time for another Full Metal Jacket Reach around here at Another Black Conservative. Each week ABC pays devotion to RS McCain’s Rule #2 and spreads Linky Love across the blogosphere.
This week has been an extremely good week for ABC; I actually got linked by Michelle Malkin’s blog [please forgive me for a second while I do a small Snoopy Dance]. Plus blogger buddy Left Coast Rebel and I played a week long game of “who can get on Memeorandum first”!We totally nailed the Palin book cover story! Here is the list of all the all the Linky Love ABC received this week.
Sorry guys, but my time was stretched real thin this week so I did not have time to do a decent Must Read.I will make a special version in the week or I will double up on the Must Reads next week.
New Blogs
I did have time to check out some new blogs, hope you find some new favorites.
That concludes this week FMJRA. Until next week, keep active, keep informed and think about adding Technorati to your blog, it makes FMJRA oh so much easier!
If it is Saturday, then it must be time for Another Black Conservative to pay tribute to R.S. McCain’s Rule #2.In this post Another Black Conservative blog pays acknowledges the Linky Love that was sent our way and gives some of that love back to others in the Conservative Blogosphere. So without further ado, let’s start the festivities!
The Linky Love:
Lets start with the post that got the most attention, School Kids Taught to Praise Obama. While not getting the most linkage, this post got everyone’s attention; therefore I devoted the entire Must Reads to the topic of school indoctrination. Thank to My Voice On the Wings of Change and The Wisdom of Soloman for their Linky Love on this topic.
Saberpoint help to get the word out that fellow black conservative Mary Baker was on Glenn Beck. For those of you who may have missed her appearance, Saber Point has found the YouTube clip:
Watching those little school children being brainwashed has set off much alarm on this side of the blogosphere. So I am providing you all with posts of interest I found this week.
First, check out Left Coast Rebel.LCR did his homework on Charisse Carney-Nunes, the woman behind that insipid song. For the a closer look behind those insipid lyrics, see Right Klik’s blog.
Another bit of leftist indoctrination that Glenn Beck brought to everyone’s attention this week was that video being shown in schools across America, called The Story of Stuff.I actually knew about this video before Glenn Beck did when I stumbled across the YouTube channel of Lee Doren called How The World Works.Lee debunks all the crazy leftwing notions in the film.Lee Doren's debunking video is a good video to show your children, just in case they were exposed or might be exposed to The Story of Stuff.
Camp of the Saints gives us a heads up on Obama's wacky and of course radical "safe schools czar", Kevin Jennings. This is a must read for all parents.
Finally way back in the beginning of Another Black Conservative, I found two very PRO AMERICAN videos for children. You can see them here and here.
Until next week gang, keep yourself and your families safe and happy. Have an awesome week.

I am a black conservative from a black conservative family. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and finally settled in New Jersey. Throughout my life I knew I did not share many of the common beliefs of other American blacks.
For starters, I never took to the term African-American. I have meet too many real Africans who are now Americans, to ever with a straight face say we share something in common other than skin tones. Their history and culture is truly a unique and is a completely different experience from my own. My culture is distinctly American, from the way I speak, think, dress and act and you know what else? I love it! So for me, I will always be an American who just happens to be black.
I put myself and my beliefs out here in cyberspace, to show my fellow blacks that there is something more. That one need not accept the false promise of the next social program, the belief in government as savior or the next Democratic candidate will right all wrongs. That true Hope and Change comes from belief in yourself, in a nation that allows dynamic movement if you are bold enough, smart enough and brave enough to make it happen.
