I took Glenn Beck’s quiz today to figure out where I land on the Nolan Chart. I landed firmly in the Libertarian column. I have taken the Nolan Chart quiz several times before and I always come out libertarian. What was a little surprising was how far in the libertarian zone I landed this time around.

ABL? Certainly more than able (to kick some libbie butt). heh. I saw the show today, thought it was really good but haven't taken the test yet . . .
I took the Nolan quiz. I came up pretty far into Libertarian territory also, but leaning toward the Conservative side. I think I am so fed up with so much government intervention and control that I want to see what the country would be like with very little.
I also came out as libertarian. Even more than you did. The problem is that I didn't agree with any of the choices on two questions, especially the one on foreign policy.
I normally come out a little closer to the conservative side than I did this time around.
My little star landed as far north as one could go.
I came out on the tippy-top of the libertarian corner. Interesting.
That's weird. Mine came out exactly where yours did. I'm kind of glad because I can't figure out how to copy the image on the Nolan Chart page (will steal yours).
These quizzes are a little silly. I question how much one's airy philosophical take on self-contained conceptual questions reflects anything real, such as one's placement and disposition toward established power arrangements.

I cheated with getting a copy of my chart. First I did a print screen. Then I brought the image into Photoshop and moved the elements around a tad.

I was never a big fan of big government, however over the last year, I am much like you and want even less now.

I too had a problem with some of the questions. I felt like I had to choose stronger choices than I really wanted. The Foreign Policy and the gay marriage question didn't really have answers I wanted.

I am not surprised by your score. You have been strong on individual rights as long as I have known you. Plus, you have a strong grasp of the real Constitutional rights.
How did mit know you are black?
When I took it is didn't say what color I am--and the server was way overloaded.
The yellow star was way up in the upper right corner of an otherwise blank screen.
Beck must be right--two kinds of Libertarian, or maybe small "L" libertarian is what I am, because the last time I read up on what a Libertarian is (according to avowed Libertarians) there were lots of things I object too (I don't remember what the objections were at the moment)>

I took a look at the questions. Either the questions are framed in such a way that it is too slanted or we (conservatives) have way too much common sense.

I just looked at their website. I honestly never paid them any mind, since I don't vote for a candidate based on the letter designating his party.
I think I'm... libertarian.
