Yeah right! Pelosi says she has the votes to pass ObamaCare today

Last night in an interview with bore snore Charlie Rose, Nancy Pelosi said she has the votes to pass ObamaCare if the vote was held today.
"Yes," Pelosi said when asked if she believed the House would end up having the votes to approve healthcare.
"If we took it up today, yes," the Speaker quickly added.

Pelosi still cautioned, though, that the timing and actual vote count on the bill couldn't be entirely set in stone until the final legislative language was finalized and until the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) delivers its score of the bill's impact.

I call BS on Nancy, If Pelosi had the votes to pass ObamaCare today, she would vote on it today. Her excuse of waiting on CBO scoring on the changes is all nonsense. The second the House signs the Senate version of the bill, Obama will sign it into law and all this chatter about reconciliation, amendments and fixes goes right out the window.

Nancy will do anything to get this thing passed in the House, even if that means voting at 3:00 AM in the morning on a Sunday with her hair on fire. The only thing stalling Nancy now is that she doesn’t have the votes. The longer this thing drags out, the less likely she will ever get the votes.

Dan Reihl agrees that Pelosi is bluffing her butt off:
Oh, please! There isn't a single analysis, Left or Right, that comes close to supporting Pelosi's claim of having the votes if the vote for ObamaCare were held today. If she had the votes, they'd be voting, not waiting for Obama's roadshow to play out. On top of that, there is no bill and no CBO scoring. But she would have the votes if they voted today?
I'm wondering if she isn't waiting for the CBO score so she can blame the White House if she can't deliver. Meanwhile, the GOP is determined to fight reconciliation, even going so far as shutting down the Senate. So, Pelosi's House Democrats aren't likely to have the cover of a fix, even if they fall for that ploy.
Here is a link to the clip of her interview with Rose if you can stomach it.   She touches on health care, Massa, Rangel and Rahm.

Pelosi is full of it. If she actually had the votes, they would have passed it already.

I agree~they don't have the votes! Yeah!!!

The CBO said it couldn’t analyze what the administration projects to be $743 billion of revenue from health-care legislation, but “assumed that the policies would have the effect set forth in the budget.”

(Translation: the CBO says like the budget proposal being higher than projected deficit, the Health Care deficit reductions won’t happen either)

Toast them all every time they come up for election - hit reject for as long as it takes. there are a few who actually mean what they say until they feel power -then yank it away immediately.

I don't think anyone bought that one. What I would like to know is how can House Democrats feel confident in throwing away their careers based on anything that woman says? It boggles the mind.

Mike:

Sadly that CBO report will mean nothing, Nancy, Harry and Obama will ignore whatever it says and come up with a fresh set of lies to continue forward.

The only thing standing between us and ObamaCare is the self serving interests of our elected officials.

Slowly but surely you are winning me over to the flush them out philosophy. I cannot believe the things we have running this great nation.

I'm with Janelle. And TERM LIMITS. Look at the abuse of power that comes with having them run over and over. This was NEVER a job the Founders intended to be a career.

Just take a look at the cesspool of America: Detroit. We've got Dingell and Conyers, in office 54 and 45 years, respectively. They're like a really bad case of crabs. They're also the 3rd and 4th longest serving members of congress - in history.

Per Wiki, there are 10 congressmen currently sitting that have been in office 36+ years. Of these, only THREE are Republicans.

They're not running the nation, Cliff, they're RUINING it.

Angie Lee, isn't Conyers the bozo who whined about having to read the bills because it would take two lawyers and weeks to understand them? I take that one step further...... members of Congress should write their own legislation, not farm it out. "Sponsoring" bills is at best, lazy.
Love the bad case of crabs analogy.
