The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Mark Kirk, Harry Reid and Barney Frank victories

Bittersweet: Mark Kirk wins Obama’s old senate seat
While I am tickled pink that Obama’s old senate seat went to Republicans, I hate that it went to one of the Cap and Tax 8.  With six years ahead of him, I hold little hope that Mark Kirk will follow conservative principles.  Look for this bozo to be the fly in the ointment over the next few years.

Harry Reid survives
Harry Reid lives to fight another day.  We will now have six more years of this pipsqueak elitist. Of all the races I wanted Democrats to lose, this was the one.  Oh, well there is always 2012 to make Harry minority leader of the Senate.
Sharron Angle has nothing to be ashamed of.  She came out of nowhere and gave one of the most powerful Democrats a serious run for the money.

Barney Frank survives too
If there is anyone who deserved to be shown the door, it was Barney Frank.  So much of our mortgage mess with Fannie and Freddie can be laid at Barney Frank’s feet.  Shame on you Massachusetts! This nasty gasbag should have been shown the door decades ago.

Reid and Frank are like bloodless vampires who rise from their coffins again-and again-and again. It's depressing.

Kirk is not the ideal Republican but the symbolic Republican sitting in the Obama chair in the Senate provides me some measure of satisfaction...

Glad to see you back. I called Angle losing two months ago. If you look at the numbers, she didn't lose because of the dem vote, she lost due to the lackluster support she got from republicans. She barely won her own district. She didn't pull the independents and the moderates.

As for Barney, it isn't a shock. That is the beast in New England. They like their social programs; social engineering is a way of life there. I don't know if this is still true, but CT used to be the state that gave more to welfare per capita. It has (or maybe had) many wealthy people so they soak the rich. Yet, it is still cheaper to live in CT over NJ and NY.

Democracy is scary, and always goes into bankruptcy. We need a republic to keep these populous democrats in check, and make sure they don't spill into rational states.

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Maxine Waters all give me a major case of the creeps. Do you or anyone you know really want to spend the day with any of those folks.........fell free to add to the list.
