Rep. Emanuel Cleaver warns Claire McCaskill about being “disloyal” to Obama

The Hill:  Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) warned Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) of "disloyalty" to President Obama if she should seek to distance herself from the White House in her re-election campaign.
Cleaver, who's seen as the likely next leader of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), cautioned the centrist senator of distancing herself from Obama, the way many endangered incumbents had done in the closing weeks of the 2012 election.
“Any attempt to extricate herself from him will be an act of disloyalty,” Cleavertold McClatchy in a piece profiling McCaskill's re-election campaign. “She will not do that at all.” [MORE]

Once again it seems like the real intra party squabbling is happening on the left side of the aisle.  McCaskill might as well heed Cleaver’s warning.  She has already cast votes for the Stimulus, financial reform and of course ObamaCare. When she runs in 2012 those votes are going to come back to bite her in the butt, especially her vote for ObamaCare.  You will recall back in April, Missouri passed Proposition C (rejection of healthcare mandate) by 70%.  Running away from Obama now is pretty futile.

It will be interesting to see how Claire McCaskill handles this situation.  Will she heed the warning or will she try to do some strange dance to straddle the fence between Obama supporter and Republican Lite.

Let me guess if she backs away from Obama it is because she is really a racist.

Wonder how Cleaver and West will react to each other.
