A year ago today I dipped my toe into the conservative blogosphere. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that today I would actually have such a respectable following. I am truly humbled.
I started this blog because, like so many of you, I felt a need to speak out about the crazy path our nation has taken. I wanted to use my blog to vent my frustrations, keep up with current political events and to provide another voice to the chorus of black conservatives.
I took my inspiration from Kevin Jackson of The Black Sphere and Adrienne Ross from Motivation: Truth. From Kevin Jackson I learned to speak my mind without fear and Adrienne Ross taught me to speak with conviction. Thanks to you both.
Speaking of thanks, I owe huge thanks to both Robert Stacy McCain from The Other McCain and Shay Riley from Booker Rising. Their early linkage to Another Black Conservative helped tremendously to put me on the map. I simply cannot thank the two of them enough for the early boost. I also want to thank everyone on my e-referrer list for daily hits you send my way.
One of the great rewards I received this year in blogging was friendship. I have made friends with some fantastic people. Stogie from Saber Point (who helped create my banner after the redesign). Left Coast Rebel (who challenges me to keep my traffic up), Namaste from My Voice on the Wings of Change, Adrienne Ross from Motivation: Truth, Nikki from According to Nikki, Liz at Expose the Media, Samuel from The Last Tradition, Carol from No Sheeples Here, Mary Baker and Soloman from the Wisdom of Soloman.
Finally, I want to share with you something I learned this year in blogging. In my very first post I asked; “Where is our Daniel Hannan”? That person who would stand up and call out the crazy spending in Washington. Well, my friend I found the answer and the answer is you! Everyday Americans simply standing up and calling out Washington’s recklessness on both sides of the aisle. You have effected more real change than this nation has seen in 50 years. So, keep standing up and speaking out, soon your hopes will bring about a true everlasting change.

Congrats!! You are a valuable member to the blogosphere! Keep up the fantastic work.
Only a year? You have found a calling, 'cuz you write and research like someone much more experienced.
A big ol' slap on the back and a high-five to you.
OS
And a Happy Birthday.
I am so glad you are here.
At times I felt so alone and it is wonderful to know that I am not.
Keep up the good work.
By the way, I found you through a link from Legal Insurrection.
And I come here daily
Congratulations! Your site has become a daily must read for me. I thank you for being a black conservative who isn't afraid to speak his mind. I am a former black Democrat who finally saw the light during the '08 election (ironically, thanks to Obama). Thanks to sites such as yours and the ones you've paid thanks to, I feel more comfortable and especially more confident in being a conservative myself. Once again, congrats and keep up the tremedous work!
Only one year old and you're already an old pro.
Congratulations. You are doing an excellent job.
hey, congrats!!! I love your blog and I have also found other great blogs from your blog. Thank you and may you blog long and prosper.
Happy Anniversary Clifton!
Keep doing what you do!
Happy Blogiversary!
Clifton,
A heartfelt congratulations to you on your first blogiversary.
Your blog is an excellent one and I am honored to be associated with you.
Together, we must continue to stand guard over liberty.
I'm gonna follow this blog more.
I'm a native New Yorker, who now lives in Pittsburgh and I'm looking to have some kind of group blog that talks about "urban issues"--including many of the bad effects of bad and often evil government policies like eminent domain abuse, rent control, "urban renwal, school choice etc....
There are at least 40 years of government policies the left doesn't want to talk about.
Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated. Just say you have some interest and I will try to follow up.
Congrats ABC! Hope you have many, many more anniversaries. We need good people like you standing up for the Constitution. God bless. :)

I have always been uncomfortable with accepting the black narrative of the MSM, yet for the longest time, it was all that I had. Thank you for giving me a different perspective to work with, for sharing with me what YOU see from YOUR point of view.
Happy first and many more!
Happy Anniversary Clifton B.! Thanks for all you do and for being so cool to me.

Happy one-year anniversary to you indeed! I'm glad to have met you, albeit online... and hope that perhaps someday we are able to shake hands and discuss the old days when we were worried about Obama!

What we all have in common is the human sprit and the divine obligation to live a truthful and courageous life unemcumbered by those who would impose unjust rules over our citizens. Forever love the beautiful UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
